Amazing tremolo
Futone Guitars 28.01.2024
Its a great tremolo, and stays in tune. Really cool design.
Only problem is that on a professional player guitar I'm going with the third spring replacement..

P
Perfect alternative to Bigsby - and reversible
PierreUK 24.05.2019
The first version of the Les Trem I've had in the past didn't stay well in tune. Installed on a Les Paul DC (with standard tune-o-matic tailpiece), this v.2 is perfect. It takes about 10 minutes to install, is totally reversible (no holes, no glue !!!) and works totally fine with a well cut nut, a good bridge and (in option) a set of locking tuners. It is more a Bigsby trem-a-like than Floyd Rose and dive bombs are risky (wait till the end of the song...). But you can go surprisingly far - it doesn't move (much). Why not 5 stars ? As I said, it's not a Floyd. Be prepared to retune.

D
Great Trem
DoronEsh 07.11.2021
Great tremolo system. Works like a charm. Combined with a roller bridge, guitar stays in tune even after 2-step dives. Great for Jeff-Beck-esque sort of wobbly tunes or Gilmorish gentle trems.
Only concerns are:
- I use a Mono soft case. The case gets hit when it is left in the trunk of the car, so the Les-Trem arm might get unscrewed and change its angle relative to the body of the guitar. After a few weeks arm may even detach from the body of the Les-Trem mechanism. I must have the original allen key (provided with the Les-Trem) with me at all times to fix that. A detachable arm (screwed in like a Fender tremolo arm) may be a good idea.
- Changing strings is a bit of a hustle. The strings go inside small notches, over the bridge, not through string-holes. A string-through mechanism should improve the design IMO.

It's good but not as I expected
Adamant 31.07.2019
U can use it to vibrato or very shallow dive,
In Eb tune on 22 fret u are able to pull up string to whole tone by that and pull off for even more.
I faced one problem after I added it to my guitar.
Strings on tail-bridge are higher- placed and flappy what causes that after high bend about 20/22 fret on eb string goes down from saddle. It's cool imitation of vibrato anyway. I kept it.
I'm visiting my luthier next month too ask is it possible to fix saddle issue.
Montage was easy and without any problem

Does exactly what I needed.
gtmdriver 03.09.2014
I fitted this to an SG style guitar fitted with Duncan P-Rails. I play in a band which covers Shadows music so I needed an efficient tremolo unit. The Les Trem II was easy to fit as it simply replaces the standard Gibson stop/tail unit. It comes with both metric and UNF bolts to suit Oriental or American hardware. I am using 10-46 strings and once up to tension the tremolo spring had compressed enough to allow a little upward movement of the arm as well as ample downward movement. Tuning stability seems good and the vibrato effect produced is ideal for my playing. It will not 'dive bomb' however.

The only niggle is the difficulty of adjusting the 'drag' on the arm itself. I like the tremolo arm to move sideways easily but stay in place when released. This adjustment involves forcing an 8mm spanner between the coils of the spring to turn a small nut. Definitely not user friendly.

Overall though I am very pleased with this item.

Simply the best
Spud Nuts 13.10.2022
After 38 years of disappointments with trem systems, I have to say, these trems are extremely good. Using one of these I have been able to transform my Epiphone Wilshire into a great all rounder.
I’ll be putting one on a Gretsch next.

Gréât product, but no quite as straightforward as I thought ..
The Fjord 17.07.2021
I bought this trem to put on Epiphone Wilshire, but it wouldn’t fit, not for the obvious reasons , but on that guitar the tailpiece is too close to the bridge..
so I put it on a Firebird.. well made, nice design, quality product, fair price.. .. Bigsby style, not dive bomb… considering this was not my plan it worked out.. Have another on order for an ESP Les Paul ..

Works well but arm is in the way
Anonymous 25.05.2016
Had to modify the bolts slightly on the lathe for it to fit to my 2005 SG faded special. Works well and has a smaller footprint which is neater then the Stetsbar which I own aswell.

Needs to be redesigned in a way that the arm connecting piece is not in the way for palm muting. Half-moon base plate can be further away from the bridge

A
great product
Anonymous 25.09.2014
This really is a great product which is both well functional as a vibrato arm and very easy to install. Fits straight into the stop bar tail piece slots meaning no alteration to the guitar. I fitted mine to an epiphone 339. Tuning seems to be relatively stable as well, depending on how far out you swing the arm when not in use though. The only negative I find is that because it starts from the stop bar position, the arm does extend quite close to the neck which doesn't leave much room for strumming. Overall though, it's an excellent, easy-fit addition to your guitar.
