Great for slapping and bluegrass/roots, but E-string is too loose!
GtrFace 26.10.2019
I like the sound and feel of these strings, very easy on the fingers if you like the occasional slap.
However, on this regular Gut-a-Like set, the E string tends to be too loose which causes weak sustain and worse: colliding with the A string (=bad noises...)!
I do recommend paying the extra and go for the Gut-a-Like Deluxe.
Difference is merely that the A and E-strings are copper-winded.
I have been playing with the regular Gut-a-Like strings for a year and a half, and finally decided to order a seperate Gut-a-Like Deluxe E-string.
Difference is night and day (finally have some sustain on my E and there is enough tension to avoid #MeToo-situations with the A-string.
