I wanted an upgrade from my VOX lil' looper...
Matteo C 02.12.2018
I use a VOX lil' looper for semi-professional use, and I had been considering buying DITTO 4x because it looked like a better version of my looper, especially when it comes to synchronized loops. I returned the DITTO 4x almost immediately, after I have realized how poor design they did at TC Electronic. First of all, temporarily pausing one of the 2 loops requires pushing twice very quickly the corresponding switch, which I've found very challenging especially while also playing. Second, when you start again the paused loop it starts over form the very beginning, which is so stupid if you have a song with a precise structure!!! It looks like a very well packaged toy to play in your bedroom, not for sure a looper for professional sessions. I'm happily back to my VOX lil' looper and associated external switch, appreciating even more its simplicity and its powerful features

S
Disappointing midi sync implementation
Shankbon 15.05.2019
I bought the Ditto X4 for its midi sync capability and am sorely disappointed. I sync several synths via midi clock in my setup and I was hoping to add synced bass guitar loops through this pedal. No matter what clock source or settings I use, the loops do not stay in sync with the rest of the sequence and the loop cutoff point seems quite random.

The effects are also a bit weirdly implemented, as you cannot adjust any of the parameters (i.e. you cannot adjust the decay or length of the Fade and Hold effects, the Reverse effect screws up the sync timing etc.).

Otherwise the pedal seems like a decent product with an ok sound quality, but I do not have much use for any of the other features.
