Why it is good? Well it will hold your microphone, but you should go and use it for ticker microphone on recommended values. I think it would work fine with 28mm to 40mm diameter microphones.
Why not great? Well my is Oktava is 23mm wide and it is also in recommended value as it is over 20mm, but it is not secure at all, together with cable it may work if you have your microphone at the same level as Flor, but if you want to tilt it you are risking that microphone pops out of this shock mount as it hold it very flimsy and i don like it.
I will probably have to do some modification to make it usable and more secure with 20mm to 28mm condenser.

Very useful
WardBest 22.02.2023
Usually good shock mounts are quite expensive. This one isn't (it's the cheapest). I mainly use them for small diaphragm condenser microphones, and while I find the Rode SM4-R by far the best shock mount, albeit quite expensive, it does the job properly.

pretty much does what it is meant to do
ellyellcoolJ 04.02.2018
I got this to hold one of my large condenser microphones, it works well, it's a little tight to get the mic in but hardy enough so that it doesn't break whilst trying to get it in.
It screws on to mic stands pretty easily and comes with a nice large adapter( the kind with the rim so It wont get stuck inside). the knob to tighten the hinge is nice and big and feels sturdy so you don't have to fiddle round to much trying to get the right angle. all in all a good product for the price. had mine a few years use it a lot and its still in the same shape as when I first got it.

Well built. Helps decrease hadnling noise

Still causes some resonance if tapped, but it does help decrease the overall handling noise at a decent price.

Hard to attatch mic, but money worth
Anonymous 09.03.2014
I had a pretty hard time getting the microphone into the holder (you have to spread the strings in the holder, and they are pretty tight as it is). I had to use a tool spread the strings while my assistant had to hold the mic holder in place.
Anyway, once in place, the microphone stays there all right but can still be rotated without big effort.
I'm not too optimistic that the strings will hold the mic tight forever since there's a good amont of strain on them and they usually tend to get looser on basicly all mic holders over time, both cheap and expensive.
Still a good product for this small buck though!

Good economy product

This shockmount is certainly affordable. Considering the price it provides a reasonable degree of isolation from floor noises etc. I have had a pair for a couple of years now and have used them mainly with a pair of NT5 mics. The elastic cradle holds these reasonably well when placed horizontaly but a little improvisation is called for to ensure a snug fit in a more vertical placement. The NT5 is a slim mic though!

Useful tool
G-T-R 23.01.2015
Useful tool for microphone recordings. Does a good job and shields microphone from unwanted vibration which would cause audible sound in your recordings. Well built as well and should fit most of your microphones!

Nice & cheap mic holder - Be careful with the elastics
Anonymous 23.06.2014
This is a nice mic holder, the elastic case is supposed to reduce the noise due to movements of the stand or mic compared to a clip, but I haven't really tested that.
I used it with a Rode NT3 and it fit well: the microphone is only held by the 2 elastic "meshes" so it can seem a bit risky to have the mic facing down, but I haven't had any issues so far.
Take care of the elastics though: I managed to cut an elastic of one of those meshes (while transporting it, it was definitely my fault). Despite that my NT3 is still held in place properly.

OK

Does the job but it's a little big so when you fit a stereo bar out with 2 of these loaded with mics and cables it does end up a bit clumbersome and heavy and difficult to get the capsules next to each other so.... Does the job but not the best solution!

Best cheap shock mount
Anonymous 23.09.2016
Compared to expensive ones, this is much better. Rode made far worse bult shock mount than t.bone. It doesnt feel plasticky or cheap. Only complaint is about 5/8" thread. I could use 3/8" addapter. Other than that is perfect.
