Not For Use With A Les Paul!!!
Anonymous 19.11.2016
The overall quality of the case is reasonably good, as are a good few competitors cases at less money. I would not use it for air travel or regular transporting in a groups bandwagon but for travelling in a car on the back seat, as my gigging guitars all do, it is OK.

As to the poor marking of the unit, that is all down to Thomann who have a picture of the case on their product page which appears to show an angled body support pad which is absolutely essential for a Les Paul as without it the full weight of the body is transferred to the neck which is THE weakpoint on a Les Paul. Inside the headstalk cavity there is a support pad for neck which serves no purpose at all as it makes no contact with the neck or headstalk. It is simply glued to the base (rather badly) and my take on this would be that when specified to the manufacturer/supplier the support pad has been put into the wrong cavity and in stead of supporting the body it is supporting nothing at all. Quality control???

In my opinion, although a long time user of Thomann and pleased with all but a few of my purchases, don't risk your guitar, buy one of the other single cut cases that offer the proper support.

The outside looks expensive, the inside looks cheap.
vagdaniels 18.12.2017
The outside of the case looks great and feels strong, steady and it's heavy (for good or bad) but I have some issues with the inside.
1) There is an intense smell of petrol.
2) The inside pad for the headstock support is half glued and doesn't really support anything.
3) My guitar barely fits. I have an LTD EC-407 and at first I thought it wouldn't fit, I had to use force and be very careful while placing it inside and really stretching the lining fittings where the headstock and the bottom strap pin is, and I was worried that the colour from the headstock will fade because of that. Thankfully I don't have to use this case very often.
Other than that the case is good for the price and looks more expensive but probably it's not the right case for an ESP LTD EC.

Wish it was a bit deeper
John4164 05.07.2015
It's a lovely looking case and offers more than enough protection foe most 'single cut' style guitars, but for some guitars with a 24 degree headstock angle such as my vintage (as in old not the brand) Japanese guitars, the case is a little shallow and the end of the headstock touches the bottom of the case which is far from ideal.

My score is probably a bit harsh for most applications, and unless you have a guitar with a 24 headstock you would be delighted with the case especially for the money. I've bought other cases from Thomann and really been happily with them, maybe they will being out a slightly deeper version after reading this review ;)

Good exterior, thin interior
Christopher-Robin 27.10.2013
The exterior on this tweed case is flawless. Beautiful! But it was a bit thinner than I expected. The soft filler could be about twice the thickness, and this would be the best case for money ever. It's still a great case, I'm keeping it and not refunding. But I'd like the soft filler material to be a bit thicker.

There is one half of metal clips odd at the back side. But it is still good case for this price.
My LP fits great (ESP EC-1000FM).
