I bought this case for replacement of my childhood Weltklang, which I started to play about 30 years ago. Have not played my alto sax almost for 20 years. Original case was a mess, so I throw it out.
Maybe my son will play saxophone. Weltklang will be good for try.
Thomann case feels pretty durable for protecting saxophone. Could be slightly smaller in dimensions and lighter, but from another perspective- its safer for sure. I like rectangular shape, because it fits better in different stocking places ;)

Bought for my daughter to take her alto sax to school - she had a walk of over 1km which is a long way for a small person to carry a sax. I did have concerns that the wheels wouldn't stand up to that much use, but it lasted really well. It could be a bit wobbly when manouvering down kerbs, but on the whole it did the job. I also accept that we probably pushed the case beyond what it was probably designed for!
