The second best desk
Edward264 12.02.2015
in the new Allen & Heath Qu range this is the mid sized option providing 24 channels of nice clean input channels in addition to the 3 stereo channels.
A great desk if you are moving over from analog to digital, provides all similar features some of its bigger brothers (the GLD and iLive) sport.
We especially like the ability to control the mix from an iPad application and now the new monitoring app which allows performers to adjust their own stage monitor mix's, whilst allowing the sound engineer to also have control over the same mix.
Multitrack recording can either be achieved by plugging in a hard drive or connecting directly to a Mac with Logic or suitable DAW, some teething issues but all now working smoothly.
Stick it in one of the Thomann flight cases with or without dog-box and you have all you need in one neat, lightweight package.
Highly recommended.

Love it

Moved from analog to digital and this desk makes it a dream, it feels like an analog desk to work but the scene memory and flexible routing as well as built in fx and EQ's are so good.

P
Best in class
Paul4863 22.09.2015
I haven't had chance to use every function, but so far this has far exceeded my expectations. We have just moved from Analogue to the QU24 & wish that I had done so sooner. no more effects racks & graphics to lug around. only downside is the small screen. But if you want bigger, then there's the GLD80, but so is the price! I probably could have got away with the QU16, but the QU24 has many more functions, not just 8 more channels. I haven't purchased the stagebox as yet, I'm sure it makes for a much quicker set-up, but I'll make do with my old multicore until I have some spare cash. but Its well worth getting the flightcase, to protect this little beauty . And one of the nicest bonuses has to be the ability to record multi tracks. All in all, a brilliantly functional bit of kit!

Great board great price
Ciaran M. 25.10.2014
Great little board, super compact, loads of functionality, sounds great. Being a mostly analogue based engineer I found this board very easy to get to grips with. The lack of a scribble strip is no issue for me personally, plenty of room for a few lines of tape on a surface dedicated for this which feels like it will not wear with lots of tape. Spent 30 mins learning and patching the desk before going straight into a show, no issues, very user/analogue friendly. Good desk for making the transaction between the 2. Only complaint is it doesn't come with a fabric cover, other than that great little board no issues at all.
