ABM 5200c Modern 2-Point Tremolo

Just replace my Mexican Strat bridge with this one and not only it's a great fit but also a great improvement (please check also other reviews since I also share most of their opinions). It was only 30gr more and some larger springs, but it makes a lot of diference. Probably material is also something to take in consideration.
Pros: Good quality and several spare parts. Fits well and it's easy to replace. Price is acceptable for this kind of quality.
Cons: Doesn't bring any instructions or installation manual. It would be nice to have, specially for the ones that would like to do it by their self. Why not one link? ... I couldn't find anything related in the internet or even in their own site. Torpedo buttons comes in white and black. If you need cream or vintage style, you need to drop that white button in your coffee for a couple of hours. ;)

This bridge and trem has really improved my guitar. After installation and set up I noticed changes in the transmission of string vibration throughout the guitar. I noticed a more even sound and volume dynamic across the whole guitar - even acoustically - and I couldn't believe the the guitar's ability to sustain single notes and chords.

I installed it as part of a general upgrade of my Strat (along with a graphite nut and locking tuners) and I'm really pleased I did. I can't fault it ! It's really well engineered, looks great on the guitar and in terms of set up and adjustment, the components all work really well. It's the best trem and bridge I've ever encountered on a Strat.

The whammy bar does not screw in like traditional strat trem bridges. This is a good thing ! But look out for and make sure you tighten the grub screw at the back edge of the bridge behind the hole for the whammy bar (with supplied Allen Key) , otherwise you'll be left wondering why the bar keeps falling out !!

All this doesn't come cheap, but I think it's well worth the money and I'm going to buy another one for Strat #2 !

There‘s not a lot to a replacement tremolo and this is no exception. Easy to mount and adjust and a very cool looking piece of kit. Then the wake-up call - EVERYBODY should get one. There is such an improvement in sound it‘s hard to express. Fuller, more sustain, more colours to the tone but also „stratier“ than the original too. Really sweet and even the guys in the band noticed the improvement at the first touch. The tremolo function is taking a little getting used to as the arm slots in rather than being screwed in. There is a risk to it becoming looser, so will have to work that out, but it functions beautifully. As with most non-Fender replacement units the block is not tapered so the actually amount of movement is reduced. This has no material effect for me so I don’t care. The rest just trumps any criticism you might come up with.

All in all a complete thumbs up full recommendation from me. Hard to top.
