Treat your room!
Jordgubb 24.09.2021
When I first got these monitors I felt quite bad because I literally couldn't hear the C3 frequency. This was because the sound bouncing on the wall canceled out the sound coming directly from the monitors. I had 4 mattresses lying around so I built a little half cubical around my desk and this made the sound not drop out at important frequencies. Of course the frequency dips in some places but nothing drops out completely.
If there is something I would have wanted it would have been a little more precise settings on the speaker for room treatment. I have it set on max boost on the low frequencies and max decrease on the highs. And I think I would have turned them even more if I had the chance. I guess I just have to treat my room a little more but I am satisfied with the sound now

As a side note I really enjoy not wearing headphones all the time. There is a big difference between headphones and monitors, but in my humble opinion I feel like you can't go wrong with headphones (despite the annoyance of wearing them and not being able to play sound to other people in the room). You might not hear the bass all that well through headphones and you will certainly not feel it but the sound is much more accurate through headphones (if you have good ones). I sort of feel like playing music through my speakers muddies up the sound a bit. The stereo difference is also big and I feel like the monitors brings more warmth and emotion than the very accurate ( and robotic, if you will,) sounding headphones might be doing. It feels like I can pinpoint right where the sound is coming from somewhere between the monitors while in mono and the hardpanned sounds are not as hardpanned! I've been using the DT 770 PRO and i still use them when I want the sound to be more "accurate". If you can afford monitors I would recommend!

A problem I had was the sound of my computer. It isn't loud, but it brings this hiss to listening through monitors that my headphones would have blocked. I sort of solved this issue by strapping my computer to the underside of my standing desk. This mixed with the fact that I have matresses for walls and a matt on the floor makes the computer hard to hear and it is ideal for monitor listening!

In general good studio monitors , I feel that it lacks a little more power , about 90W each would be ideal , if it weren't for the slight loss of medium I would opt for the larger 8 inch

For the price - the best in class
amccabe31 03.12.2024
Studio monitors are something you really need to listen to, in order to understand which are for you. However, I really trusted what good reviews this monitor received when making this purchase, and I went in blind.

I started years ago with a tiny pair of subzero monitors, upgraded a few years back to the equally small, but more than adequate Presonus E3.5's, and then took the jump straight to these giants. Giant is definitely a term I'm using in relation to what I already own, as they certainly aren't Abbey Road level speakers that could blow me to next week with the SPL, but that's not what I was looking for. I wanted a crisp, clear, pair of monitors with a great frequency range - particularly in the bass - and a relatively flat frequency response. My room is not acoustically treated (yet!) and definitely has a solid abundance of reflections, and I have no sound calibration system either (again, YET!). However, the few controls to adjust the rolloffs on the frequency response of each monitor is a really great feature, and has meant that I can somewhat adjust these monitors to sound pretty good in an untreated, uncalibrated room. The response and clarity that these have is unmatched - FOR THE PRICE.

Given that I got these on Thomann in a bundle with some acoustic foam wedges for under £280, I am thouroughly thrilled. I was ready to drop £350+ on the speakers alone, and instead here I am with enough money to spare that I bought the speaker mounts I wanted too, and still came in under budget! I definitely haven't given them a full run yet, and I'll be intrigued to see how they affect my mixing and mastering when referencing on different devices that my ears are used to, but either way, listening on them is a wonderful feat - the bass is present and clean, the highs are gorgeous and delicate (but not at all fatiguingly sharp - looking at you DT770!) thanks to the Adam ribbon tweeters, and as someone who was convinced about either buying HS7's or KRK's, I am so glad I did a little more searching and found these. I don't think that I could ever go back from Adam Audio now, and if they release a large pair of monitors with their new side bass radiators seen on the D3V's, I may just have to upgrade as they would certainly be the most impressive and fun monitors on the market.

TL;DR - Adam Audio really are the business. Clean, crisp, fun and fantastic even in an untreated/uncalibrated space. For the value - outstanding.

B
Best monitors in the price range without a doubt but...
BramVB 08.05.2018
These are some amazing studio monitors for the price I have to say. The sound is very clear and punchy. Low end is tight and sub heavy, highs are crisp and smooth. I have been using these for about a month now and I'm pretty happy with them. The build quality is decent as well. But they do have some things that I really dislike in terms of design itself.

#1: On/off light is on the back, not the front. What's the point of this light if you can't see it? Really annoying that I need to go to the back just to check the status. Many other brands in the same price range have this. It's Just a stupid decision imo.
#2: When turning the volume knob on the monitors it lightly crackles when playing music through them. This is on both units so I'm sure it's the same on all of them.
#3: Back ported bass ports. All Adam's previous models have been front ported, why change now? Their PR rep claims it's to keep costs down? This doesn't make sense because all their previous research and development has been with front ported models. Changing now does not make sense 'to keep costs down'. Their previous 'budget' model the F series had this, so all the PR talk about doing this to keep the cost low is simply not true.
#4: Only one balanced input. An extra TRS input would have been nice. They keep saying this is to keep to cost down, fair enough. But why can a lot of other companies that make models in the same price range do these things but not Adam Audio?

So all in all, great monitors sound wise. But with some ridiculous design decisions for sure. Their previous 'budget' series (F series) had both front ported bass ports and an essential on/off light on the front so it's really stupid they decided to drop these features. I would have
easily paid ¤50 to a ¤100 more for these (imo) essential features.

Beat my Neumann 120s!!!
WenDaMan 08.06.2024
These speakers are really good, i did not expect this.
I had to get them because one Neumann 120 KH speaker gave up, and in Cyprus they cant repair it. Neumann didnt support me (can you imagine, after spending more than 2500 on these speakers) so i had to quickly get other speakers until i found a way to repair my main monitors.
Or so i thought....

I know these speakers get good reviews, but after coming from the 120's i really did not expect this.
They sound better! Crisper, more detailed and overal just better.
This is probably because of that ribbon tweaker (supposebly from the music more expensive Adam monitors).
But damn...those transients are just very good!
I produce dance music (radio/techno/deep/hard) and release a lot of productions.
I opened some project i was working on last week and i can hear the attacks of guiitar chops and vocal compression so clear...much better than with my 120 or my headphones (1990 Pro and 1770 Pro)
There is even some more mid defenition, but this is not a lot.

Only thing i can not review is the low end...
I use a subpack for the low end, maybe this is why these speakers sound so good in my studio.

They are rear port, i have massive bass traps behind the speakers and Roadworks stands with build in isolation.

In my studio the bass of these speakers sound good, but no comparrison to my subpack (that thing 'sounds' like you are in a massive club).

I also have a big sub in the studio...

Anyway, im super happy with these speakers...thanks Thomann!!!

PF
The T7V delivers plenty of clarity, decent imaging and volume from a pretty compact footprint. A tidy package, at a good price.
Peter FC. 14.06.2022
Did a lot of comparison e.g., RoKu 7 KRK all including subwoofer. The difference is without a doubt much better with the Adam T7V's. The Adam T7V is an affordable two-way studio monitor designed for vertical use in a nearfield application. The wide frequency response, high dynamic range, excellent transient response, wide sweet spot and small footprint makes the T7V perfectly suited for use in small control rooms for music production, video post-production and broadcast production.

Wide Frequency Spectrum

Featuring a 7” woofer that provides bass extension down to 39 Hz, the T7V's U-ART tweeter diaphragm provides pristine and extended high-frequency response up to 25 kHz, which is virtually unheard of in studio monitors at this price-point.

The U-ART tweeter is fitted to a precision waveguide with the same dispersion-control attributes as the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used in ADAM Audio’s flagship S Series studio monitors. The waveguide’s highly uniform dispersion of high frequencies provides an incredibly wide sweet spot that frees you from being glued to a rigid mix position while working.

Powerful Projection

On the rear side of the T7V’s bevelled cabinet, a rear-firing bass reflex port joins a sturdy metal backplate that’s home to the analogue input connections. The U-ART tweeter is powered by a 20 W Class-D amp, while a 50 W Class-D amp serves the woofer. These new powerhouses yield an impressive maximum of 110 dB SPL per pair.

The ADAM Sub8 subwoofer is the perfect match to complement the T7V, to extend the capabilities of monitoring in the bottom end.

Do not overthink, this is the one you need, test it out.

disgusting
anonim ray 22.10.2024
Hello. 10/09/2024 I ordered Adam T7V iso studio monitors. I paid 6,000 rubles for delivery to Kyrgyzstan by DHL, and it was not indicated anywhere that it was DHL global and not DHL express. The delivery lasted 12 days, tracking worked exactly until arrival in the destination country of Kyrgyzstan. As soon as the parcel arrived in Kyrgyzstan, tracking stopped, it was indicated that the parcel had successfully passed customs. No one responded to my requests to the Thoman online store; no information was received. I had to start searching for the parcel myself; I started calling the delivery services DHL, KEP, Kyrgyz Post. I called CMPOL where they rudely told me that the parcel was detained by customs. I went to customs, where they started sending me either to a warehouse or to different offices, then they gave me receipts for payment of the customs declaration in the amount of 2,562 soms; you can only pay at the RSK bank during a personal visit; you cannot pay online from third-party banks. I went to the bank and stood in line in a stuffy room for 2 hours. When I paid, it turned out that I was not registered in the customs database, I had to call customs and ask to be re-registered, since at customs they told me that I was already registered. When I returned to customs at the CMPOL, the warehouse employees were no longer at their workplace, although they promised me that I would have time to pick up the parcel before 8 pm, I arrived at 6 pm. I was told to come for the parcel the next day. The next day I came to the warehouse, where I was again sent to the reception area, where I was asked to fill out a form and pay another 134 soms. When I asked what I should pay for, I was not given a clear answer. So why did I have to run around for my previously paid parcel and pay again? Why did no one inform me??? Why did the delivery service not send me notifications??? The parcel is already at my home, but the tracking list still says wait for delivery. What kind of service is this??? I am very disappointed, I did not expect such service from the famous Thoman store... I probably won't buy from this store again.

Great "Hi-Fi" speakers, poor studio monitors
bencyl 27.02.2020
I bough this monitors for my home studio and I create mainly country/rock/metal songs. I was picking between these and Yamaha HS 7 in this price range, which I know very well since my friend owns them for a long time. We compared them and they are very different; here is why.

Features:
Points Im about to make are expressed in many online reviews, so Im going to be short. Speakers are kinda bulky in size, compared to Yamaha, but they also have 0,5" bigger speaker. Volume knob is in the back, and 0dB position is on a weird spot (like 2 o`clock) and with NO NOTCH, so its difficult to know where you are. There are HF and LF +/- 2 dB corrections and a power on light IN THE BACK, which is just not practical.

Quality:
Very well build, no problems here.

Sound:
Here we go. A lot of people find this monitors to be more like Hi-Fi than monitors, and I agree. When you compare them to Yamahas and listen to some produced music, they sound lively and not dull in comparison. But when you mix music and compare to Yamahas or different speakers (car, headphones,...), you see that Adams portray mix much nicer than it really is. On them, guitars sound rich and full, bass is just at a right spot, drums are very articulate and so on. But other sources show that guitars are dull, bass is to low because Adams project too much bass, drums get covered up and so on. Yamahas show all that, and those corrections in the mix would be possible listening on them.

So in conclusion, Adams are great for producing to give you a nice feeling when composing. For mixing, I wouldnt pick them over Yamaha HS7 in this price range. Feature flaws are kind of embarrassing for company like Adam, but the build quality is very nice. Maybe EDM and hardbass guys find these monitors usefull due to extended bass range, but for a guitar/drums/bass/vocals music I dont reccomend them.

POWERFUL AND HIGHLY ADDICTIVE
mFC7891 06.02.2023
I bought these after returning a pair of T5Vs, the low end wasn’t really powerful enough, although the highs and mids were beautiful. Now, I’m coming to the end of the burn-in period of the T7Vs and I can safely say these are a different beast altogether!

You won’t have to compromise those crisp and airy highs, and on top of it you’ve got really punchy and defined low end too! Put great care into how you place them in your room though -careful with the backfiring port too near a wall- powerful low end shouldn't have to hide defined and loud enough highs. Also bear in mind the 39hz low end threshold will mean the sweetspot will differ from 5” woofer speakers. Listening distance will have to increase a touch as these speakers are much more powerful.

In short, these are highly versatile speakers for both small and big rooms, and once you've played around with them and figured out how to juice them properly, the listening experience will be highly enjoyable. Those perfectly defined highs are a thing to behold, they almost appear physically present in the room. But with the T7Vs, I was really looking for that low end explosion one always expects with new listening equipment… and I found it :-)

AM
These Are the Best Studio Monitors for the Price!
Alisher Moldabekov 25.06.2024
Before purchasing the ADAM Audio T7V monitors, I did my research and watched countless YouTube reviews. Adam Audio is a world-renowned leader in studio sound, and they simply don't make bad products. Despite being their budget offering, the ADAM Audio T7V monitors are nothing short of exceptional.

Pros:

Unparalleled Tweeter: The tweeter is one of the best in the world, even a bit too good for these monitors.
Punchy and Detailed Bass: The bass is both powerful and detailed, providing a clear and satisfying low-end response.
Sleek and Stylish Design: The minimalist design is both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
High-Quality Materials and Construction: The monitors are built to last, with top-notch materials and solid construction.
Excellent Frequency Response: The frequency response is remarkably flat and accurate, ensuring a neutral and transparent sound.
Cons:

Fine-Tuning for Professionals: For professional mixing and mastering, it's recommended to use SonarWorks and adjust the midrange frequencies. However, this is only necessary for the most discerning professionals.
Perfect for Beginners and Intermediates: If you're a beginner or intermediate audio producer, these monitors are an ideal choice.
I'm incredibly happy with my purchase and plan to upgrade to their higher-end models in the future. Thank you, Thomann!🤝
