The ideal solution for silent drumming

Adoro silent drumsticks for electronic drums

The Adoro SSE Silent Percussion Sticks are specially designed for drummers who want to significantly reduce the volume of their electronic instruments without sacrificing a natural playing feel and the familiar rebound. These sticks are made from plastic materials and come in various designs. The SSE Silent variant combines a shaft that features a soft gripping surface with an elastic nylon tip, which allows the sticks to effectively absorb hits played on rubberised pads and makes them perfect for playing electronic drums equipped with mesh heads. With a diameter of 15.5 millimetres, these sticks correspond approximately to conventional 5B drumsticks and should thus suit the tastes of a great many drummers.

A familiar playing feel

Adoro Silent Sticks provide drummers with an excellent alternative whenever playing the drums with conventional sticks would be too loud for a specific room or musical setting. Adoro emphasises that Silent Sticks behave in a significantly different manner compared to rods, for example, and are therefore much closer to the playing feel of conventional drumsticks. This is due to their highly rigid polycarbonate shafts and Dual Loop Reflex Tips, which are specifically designed for improved accentuation of the high frequencies of cymbals. Unlike wooden tips, the Dual Loop Reflex Tips do not wear down and are therefore also perfectly suitable for playing electronic drums equipped with mesh head pads.

Specifically designed for electronic drums

Any drummer who wants to play a purely acoustic drum set with an acoustic band in small rooms - instead of having to settle for playing cajon, for example - will find Adoro Silent Sticks to be the ideal tool for reducing the volume of drums and cymbals by at least 50 percent without changing the drum sound to a noticeable extent. The same is true for electronic drums, which is where Adoro's Silent E-Sticks feel most at home. Adoro offers these sticks in various thicknesses and degrees of hardness that differ from each other with regard to sound and playing feel, and the range includes matching Silent Sticks for everything from acoustic drums and percussion instruments through to electronic drums.

About Adoro

Adoro was founded in Hamburg by Stefan Korth in 2007 and specialises in custom drums that, through the use of specific materials, designs, and dimensions, are particularly suitable for quiet environments like churches and for spaces with less-than-ideal acoustics. Alongside its “Worship” and “City Lights” series, which are available in all manner of configurations, the company also offers the “Sweet Sixteen” series especially for children, which features extra-small 16" bass drums. Adoro chiefly uses birch, maple, and walnut woods for its drums, and in 2020 it expanded its range through the addition of Silent Sticks and Silent Beaters – a selection of special plastic drumsticks and bass drum beaters that reduce the drumkit’s volume by 50 to 80 percent, fully in keeping with the Adoro philosophy.

Perfect wherever high volume is a problem

There is hardly a single drummer who has not been faced with the problem that an acoustic or electronic drumset is simply too loud in certain situations - after all, even an electronic kit can still be pretty noisy. Playing less energetically is certainly not the best solution because, after all, drumming should be fun – so drummers will definitely benefit from having one or more pairs of Adoro Silent Sticks in their stick bag for situations like this. These work just like volume controls for the drums and are therefore also suitable for practising at home, rehearsing with a band, giving drum lessons, and playing in church.

Perfect for home rehearsal on e-drums

These are great for reducing vibration when playing electronic drums at home. No more worrying about upsetting the neighbours since I bought them. More for home use rather than a live setting.
