This practice pad provides great response, but fine tuning of the head or the snare is proving very troublesome - there are no instructiuons on how to do this, and the four nuts holding the snare plate beneath the pad seem to do nothing.
On the plus side, the materials used are very durable and give a good feel and response, plus it fits easily onto your snare stand to allow hours of quiet practice.

Disappointing!!!
George Kaz 12.06.2024
I bought this product since I need something like the Xymox counterpart from the U.S. Now the only marching pad available with tunnable ''snares'' was this. It was a big disappointment to find out that the screw underneath were loose. The biggest issue is that you cannot tight them!!! My product was problematic since the screws that go into the wood, where extremely loose and you couldn't tighten the nuts. Also, the nuts on top cannot be removed! Even thought the product itself is great and feels very robust, for my needs, this was a useless dissapointment. A big no no on Ahead.

Good materials. Heavy pad.
Nice snare sound.
A little too loud for room practice.
The skin broke fast if we don?t use nylon typs.
