I ordered a bunch of new reeds, D'Addario, Vandoren, Pilgerstorfer, and they were all quite similar. The effect of changing to the Alexander reed was outstanding. It felt clearer, both in tone and somehow just playing the reed. It felt strong to work with, and I projected way better. Now I just need to see it they'll stand the test of time. Sidenote, the metal box is a nice plus. Much better than the standard cardbox
