Exceptional bow
Anonymous 24.06.2015
I have been learning for 2 years using a pernambuco bow which cost 400 GBP and bought the AS36 as a back up. I can't believe how much this purchase has improved my bowing in the 24 hours I've had it. It is a truly delightful bow, quite light, comfortable to hold and with nice balance. I am also now able to play much louder and with a more precise control of volume.
Used it today for only the second time in my weekly lesson. Teacher was impressed with both my improvement and the bow itself.
Was surprised at how well the AS36 is finished - rather better than the pics on the Thomann website.
Delivery was swift (3 days to the UK which included a Sunday) and It came very well packaged.
I am a delighted customer!

not happy
Valeriuss 24.11.2018
i was hopping that i will solve the bow problem with this one for some time but ha it didnt last so much ,as soon i got him couple of hairs cutted, since i am playing every day for couple of hours the hair started to cut much faster and i am not that agresive on stings, i can past on that since there is a lot of them ,the thing what is really bad and i was extremly careful to cut them with scissors leaving small part to stay ,not pulling for the core, but still after 3 months of playing now if you want to tight the bow ,until the very end the hair wont stay flat and it is loose and that is the most anyoing part you see,but lets get real,Cello is an instrument which requires upgrades all the time ,Carbon body is really nice and light ,comfortable and i think that is the only thing you have payed,as for the hair it is one piece of shi...but yes if you dont want to spend hundreds like i did go for this one maybe u ll have more luck

I'm no Pro, but this is better than expected

The overall impression is that of solid quality.

The bow has a good sound and everything is well put together and doesn't have that cheap feel you often get.

Decent quality

I have played cello for 20+ years since I was a toddler, quit after I had kids and recently came back to the hobby. I was looking for an inexpensive, dependable bow to see if I will start practising again.
Very happy with the bow for the price. I would have to improve my playing a lot to see benefits of a more expensive bow.

Very Happy
Anonymous 22.05.2016
I am still very new to the Cello, but after purchasing this bow with my first Cello of my own, i was very happy with it. I have no doubt i will eventually upgrade to another bow further down the line, but for the foreseeable future I know this is all I need

Balanced and comfortable

I'm kind of a beginner and when I tried it for the first time I felt the difference directly. If you played with the regular bow before, you will notice that its balance and hair quality is above average

Good quality, sound on the softer side
McP1 02.10.2024
It is a carbon bow of good quality. The sound production is softer, which helps if you want to play softer pieces. Also, it is quite forgiving for a beginner. I would recommend for a beginner because it is easier to control the sound you produce, but I would nor recommend if you want a strong, louder sound.
