Amaran is known to be Aputure’s “budget” line of lights but don’t be fooled. This tube light is incredibly versatile, the build quality is superb and it can be used in so many scenarios. I would not have issues bringing it on professional sets. At this price point it’s worth having one or two in your kit.
Main drawback (if that is important to you) is that it does not have a build in battery, so it’s not great to use as a practical in your frame/shot. Second, it is RGB and can do colour chases but it is not a pixel tube, meaning it can’t do runs.
