I kept this as a backup for my 22x20 kick and just got round to using it the other day.
Whilst the build quality on both heads is very good I had quite a hard time getting a deep 'thud' out of it. After a good 45 mins of tuning the best I could get was a fairly lacklustre attack that made the drum sound a bit weak. In a live setting the sound was also not brilliant. This could possibly be down to the fact the batter is single ply, however I have used other single ply heads in the past which have have been nowhere near as awkward to tune.
I suspect the Super Kick Clear may be better suited for those with shallower 22'' kick drums looking for a tight, poppy sound as opposed to a deep, hard rock sound.
