Not going to be my favourite
whave 01.11.2024
Yes, it IS better than most rubber strings I have tried. But the bar is pretty low.

The texture is supposed to be anti-sticky but with just the right amount of hand sweat, it starts to stick. The sound is pretty good, no complaints there, but I still prefer metal strings.

One thing to mind: I got these for a Fender u-bass, that originally comes with metal strings. As these are MUCH thicker than metal strings, and there's no option to raise/lower the bridge, the intonation becomes way off with these installed, due to the overall center of the strings being raised.
I assume if your u-bass comes with rubbers by default, this is less of a concern, but still, there can be differences between rubbers too so be careful, do your research.

UB
Expensive, but Really Good.
Uke Bass player 18.11.2023
Not only transformed the tone of my HB Uke bass to sound like a far more expensive one, but also fixed the intonation issue, and the quiet E string issue I had with the original Thundergut strings. I highly, highly recommend these as a must have upgrade for any serious player. Better string tension, feel to the fingertip, volume, looks, tone - everything. Expensive but worth it.
