For how cheap it is, the ART PRO VLA is a modern classic, both in sound and price. It's smooth, versatile, and affordable!

I've used it with great success on vocals, bass guitar, drum overheads, and many other things. If you have a home studio and want to step your game up, nothing beats this thing for the price to performance ratio!

Great Compessor for the price

I bought the Art VLA to provide compression for my snare and kick drum in a small studio setup. Easy to use, versatile and well made, the controls are well thought out and feel really solid to the touch. You can spend thousands on compressors but this one does the job really well for a fraction of the cost. A really good value addition to my studio.

No better unit for the price!

Literally one of the best sounding units in its price range. This can easily be compared to products that’s cost double or triple. It all comes down to how you use it. I suggest switching out the tubes with new ones (for example TUNG-SOL 12 AX 7) to get a richer/beefier sound. Overall a superb piece of kit that will sit well in any studio big or small.

Good value for the price

I had looked for better compressor to expand my home studio rack, to make better recordings with DAW. ART Pro VLA is an outstanding unit by reading various reviews and suggestions all over the internet.

Today this compressor is mounted to my rack space below the SPL Goldmike 9844 preamplifier. Extra large VU meters and knobs makes it pretty handy to use. I can notice that, this compressor makes the job more seamlessly then my old, cheaper VCA unit. Also, it improves output sound quality considerably.

Probably, ART Pro VLA II is one of the best hardware compressor available for the home recording studio budget. In this standpoint, can recommend it to anyone.
