Review update:
Many months after purchasing this interface I tried it also on Windows. The exact same problem that was appearing on mac mini m1, appears on Windows when computer comes back from sleep.
This interface is horrendous for all operating systems. I dont really expect much of it, other than to play sound. Whenever computer comes back from sleep its a lottery if it will work. 3 out of 5 times you must manually reconnect the USB cable. I dont want to live with this garbage half-assed "solution".
On the Audient website they acknowledge this issue, you can search for a page called "Interface Frequently Disconnects On Windows" - they describe a workaround where they recommend you go into Control Panel and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for multiple USB Controllers, and then you do the same for the Human Interface Devices menu USB controllers. I have followed instructions to the letter and the result is that it still disconnects.
Fix your stuff Audient - never again on my own money though. Lost a customer for good.

Now, this below was my initial review of the interface:
Mixed feelings about this interface:
+ High quality sound.
+ USB-C powered
+ Knobs feel good
+ Great simple layout
- All attempts of updating firmware on Mac Mini M1 resulted in "Update failed" error. Believe me I tried everything. Firmare Update went smooth only on a Windows machine.
- Mac users (or at least Mac Mini M1 users) will have the "surprise" that the device is not recognized when computer comes back from sleep. As in, you need to manually disconnect and reconnect the USB for it to be recognized. The solution documented on forums is to not allow your Mac to go to sleep so that the power is always on. Whether that is acceptable by you is your decision but it does of course work.
