Good choice for the money
OrtonE 30.11.2015
This is nice and solid mic, and you can't go wrong for the money if you buy it.
Great for snare drum but not as good as SM57 for guitar amp. It slightly lack of low mids in my opinion in compare to Shure but still absolutely excellent value for money. The 50% price different between this mic and SM57 doesn't reflect the gap in quality between this two. This mic is simply slightly different to SM57 tone-wise but the built quality and design is on the very high level.
Update - I've recently recorded an acoustic guitar and the results surprised me a lot. Recording Taylor's guitar through line output and this mic gave me the sound I was looking for a long time. Little MB 2k is getting 5 stars now!!! Such a a versatile microphone for such a little money. Bargain!!!

More than you think
S106 03.10.2018
I expected a budget microphone to put on the snare drum or amp from time to time. I got more.

Use
It's good for anything. Vocals, guitar amps, drums. I was surprised by trying it on vocals, because I wasn't expecting the large and full sound of it.

Pro:
Very good versatility in use, nice to eq (but it doesn't need much). I liked holding it in my hand, it's user friendly.

Cons:
I don't like too much the holder (shockmount), seems ok, but I wouldn't trust it too much. I also hate ON-OFF switchers on microphone.

You won't be disappointed.

C
Stage Mike
Christopher6076 21.03.2019
I bought this microphone for general use around my small home studio.
I like it very much and use it for recording my guitar amps, but also now use it on stage at small bar and club gigs for vocals. It is of solid metal construction, quite heavy and gives a faithful reproduction of sounds. It also has an on-off switch which is very useful.
For recording vocals I use a condenser mike from Thomann, the Retro Tube 2, which is insane value for money.
This is a very good general mic and great value for money.

This cheap little mic beats an SM57 hands-down for live applications. Better high frequency response and far less muddy than a 57.
I've yet to test it in studio conditions but I'm confident it'll provide good results.

A
Nice mic for the price
Anonymous 13.12.2014
I have a couple of trusty SM58s but needed a couple more mics on stage for a horn section - they work fine and are still in one piece after a couple of dozen gigs. They seem well constructed. I have tried them on vocals at rehearsal and I honestly can't tell much, if any, difference but I admit my ears are old!

Best all-round dynamic mic under 100 squids
Anonymous 25.04.2016
I'm a "bedroom producer" and I needed a "does it all" mic for recording vocals, instruments, foley, etc.

Sound wise: it does the job well, what is there more to say than that it's a hypercardiod dynamic mic that does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Build quality: it doesn't have that cheap lightweight feeling that many budget mics do. The plasticy texture is quiet pleasant to the touch. I'm not gonna try but it looks sturdy enough to sustain some drops.

For the price, you can't really go wrong with this one.

Chunky Instrument Mic

I love these mics and use them for festival bands.

Solid rubbery construction and a clear, solid sound. I'm never sure why they put switches on these things.

I particularly like them on snares and hand drums. The mid is excellent.

AN
Looks nice, sounds nice
Andrew NeroH 13.07.2017
I bought this specifically for amp micing for guitars, and it delivers well. I'd have to test it on snares but I could i,agine

It will naturally sound well with distorted guitars and for the price, there is not reason to not get one of these.

Other than that, it comes with a very nice, soft yet thick case and a clip.

The mic itself really feels nice. I think it has a metal body with a nice and soft plastic coating. Plus it looks great.

A must have, especially if you're on a budget.

i
great mic
ionral 02.10.2015
in many liken to SM57, I would not say it is possible, not because of its quality, I think they are more or less the same level, but because they have made in quite different sound spectrum.
PRO: switch, is very useful at times - wide spectrum of use, perhaps more suitable for voice / snare but some would also like to take a guitar amp, if placed away from the center of the speaker.
AGAINST: nothing sincerely, for what it costs is difficult to expect more.
