Can't fault these for the price!
Anonymous 22.06.2015
I bought two of these as a replacement for an older, heavier passive PA system I was using. I'm a solo acoustic performer with a pretty simple setup and am really happy with this product - I've been using them for just over a year solidly and they've been faultless so far.

Sound quality is good, I gave this a 4/5 based on the price of the product and the clarity/warmth of the sound. The high end is a little harsh at times but the basic in-built EQ is useful if you need to tone it down a little. The low end response is surprisingly decent - I plug an electroacoustic guitar and a vocal mic into these and there's plenty of low end for what I need. I've heard better sound quality from much more expensive active PA speakers, but I've also heard MUCH worse quality from similarly priced speakers - so I'd say these represent excellent value for money, as does most Behringer kit that I've used.

Power-wise, these speakers have suited every situation I've needed them for so far. Powerful enough to use outside or in larger venues, but still good at lower volumes also. A great all-rounder. Also, they're not too heavy and pretty easy to transport.

A quick note on the in-built preamps: You'll want to use a separate mixing desk to get some more control over levels, EQ, fx etc. However saying that, I have plugged an instrument and a mic directly into the speaker on occasion, and honestly the sound quality is more than decent and very useable. A simple in-built reverb would've been the icing on the cake, but you can't have everything!

Overall - very impressive for the price and definitely recommended.

Did the job but the wrong choice
Gerry720 25.01.2022
I bought the B112D as a monitor to go with my LD28 Maui PA which I have to place in front of me to avoid any feedback worries. The B112D was inexpensive but did the job as I needed the EQ controls to try and "match" it to the LD.
After a year, I decided to get a second one and try a two speaker powered "backline" which was lighter than the LD bass bin. The B112D finally became available and I bought the second one and gave it a try instead of the LD system. They were "okay" but could not match the clarity of the Maui system.
I will still use the B112D as a monitor and find a use for the second one for rehearsing. If I could spend more time with the B112Ds in a club or pub set up and do some experimenting they might work out, but at their low price they are well worth the money for monitors for sure. They sound great in the house, but not as good in a pub/hotel gig.

t
Nice and powerful little speaker
timoricien 03.02.2020
Just bought 2 of these speakers to use both in church with the band and at home for practice. Gotta say they are very loud and i didn't expect to get such bass from a 12inch speaker.
In church i use them as monitors and have never up to now go beyond half of the volume knob, although we have a loud drummer onstage.
I am just a little skeptic about the described 1000w though.

Pros:
Very handy, portable and reliable.
The inbuilt 2 channel mixer is a very nice feature. I dont need a mixer just a vocal and guitar performance.
Small but powerful

Cons:
The top handle is really inconvenient for mounting the speaker on a high stand. Behringer need to really review their design on this. A side handle would be more efficient
The high frequency a bit harsh but can easily be corrected by a mixer's eq.

Overall very satisfied and will probably buy more

RR
PA value
Ronnie R. 28.05.2013
I have two of these speakers and use them for all venues. I even use them for outdoor gigs and have never run out of power. The sound is consistent at all volume levels and quality is not an issue. I am a one man band using an acoustic guitar and firmly pbelieve if you can get a good acoustic guitar sound you can get any sound. As an added bonus they don't cost the earth and the whole PA fits in the boot of a fiat punto The only complaint I have is there is only one handle on the top of the cabinet which makes it difficult to mount on a high speaker stand. Please Beheinger put at least one handle on the side of the cabinet.

Total Value For Money
Elisabeth85 12.07.2014
I bought this to put into my Bicycle Busking Trailer as my main street sound. i am using it together with the Behringer C1 microphone and the 1204 Mixer, which doubles as my recording studio (together with my Linux Mint notebook running Audacity).

One thing that was important for me was the weight and I am very pleased with that. The sound is very good for the price - I would not call it outstanding. I am very pleased with it. More bass would be good, yet that will come when I upgrade the system with a subwoofer.

Anyone buying one of these to use together with the C1 mic will be interested in my testing. feedback is a big problem and so the volume of this thing needs to be on about 1 when used as a personal monitor. I found the loudest I can drive it is when its placed behind me so my body acts as a shield - I'm playing nylon string and singing, so I need to be able to hear myself above the street noise. It is only just able to do that, so I am looking into in-ear monitor system next so I can crank it up a bit louder.

Update after six months of use ... The proce went up a lot, so the value for money is not like it used to be. Having said that, I am still very pleased with this. In particular, I have used this not as a busking system lately yet as a Bass Amplifier, of all things. It works very well for this as long as its driven from a mixer or a di box. Sound is excellent for home studio bass monitoring.

Hope this helps. I am glad I made the decision to do it this way, with the studio mic rather than use a pickup. The sound I am getting is very natural with all the high bell sound of the nylon string ringing through. And the effect unit built into the mixer is a great help for such a budget item. I am well pleased.

I recommend this speaker a lot. Many features, good sound and affordable.

Update! I did not use this speaker a lot and already it is making crackling noises and not working properly.

I have used and abused this item for over 2 years and it still works perfectly. The best power for price ratio that I have found. And Thomann seems to have the best prices for Behringer products.

I use two B112D's together with two B1200Dpro's in my rehearsal room.
They are also tested in parties (50+ people). They give you the sound you need. And then some..
