Brilliant

I just love these. Unbelievable for the money. Particularly like the light weight. You can carry two at one time - remember I'm talking about 2 x 15" powered speakers. In a small band lifting heavy speakers off of a stand and lugging to the car at the end of a gig can really do you in. I use them in front of a 4 piece band which uses a mixture of acoustic and electric. We get a brilliant full sound. I don't put the bass through them usually, but in the larger venues sometimes run the kick drum through, and they handle it fine. So they are great for small to medium venues and they make brilliant fold backs for the larger venues where you might like to use a larger rig. The only thing I've marked them down slightly on is quality - this is because the protective metal grille is quite light great and has got a bit dented. JBLs or Mackies they are not, but for a once a week band, playing small venues, transporting gear by car, I WOULD REALLY RECOMMEND THESE.

K
Decent For beginners
KarlM21 23.04.2019
Bought 2 of these about 3 years ago, never let me down, and fill small to medium venues no problem. Two band EQ is handy but a switch for Full Range or with subs would be handy. Very easy to carry, and I can manage 2 tops.

Pros:
Easy setup
Can handle loads of abuse!
Light enough

Cons:
Lacks on bass
Clips easy enough

Overall these are great for those looking a small rig for small gigs, or even a beginner due to the price point, it would be worth saving up and getting a more powerful set if required!

I've had a good experience with them
Mykonianmaniac 18.12.2018
I have been gig-ing with these speakers for the past 5 years.

Pros:
Durability: I schlep them around in the back of my pickup truck. They have bounced around, fallen over and have been rained on at least 3 times. Also I have had them topple over while mounted on tripod stands and hit the ground twice. They are beat to hell and work just as they did the day I bought them.

Features: The built in 2-band EQ is useful in situations where I have needed to cut some low end on the fly.

Decent Sound: They sound good to me for the price, they have clarity but are kind of lacking in low end (for a rock band), which isn't a problem since I run them with Subs, but IMO speaker placement and proper EQ is where its at.

Not really a con, but I will eventually be upgrading to some more powerful speakers to be able to cover larger/outdoor venues.

If I could go back in time I would buy them all over again!

I don't have another speaker to compare it with these at the moment. But these are working really good, tested on several events. Solid power.

I use these speakers to rehearse with my band, they are excellent in response and quality, they could have a better bass response but they are very good anyway..

Exactly what I was looking for
Stiubhart 16.05.2013
Using for a 4 piece band as tops, can't ask for more from a budget speaker. They will be used primarily in small to medium sized rooms. Haven't used them for a gig yet but had a dry run in a rehearsal room and they performed very well

All you need to be louder than the drummer.
Anonymous 24.09.2015
I ended up buying this amp for singing because I couldn't compete my singing volume with our drummers mad banging. Since then I haven't had a sour throat after practise and the sound is very clean even if you bump the volume way up. Plugging this amp into a mixer with various instruments simultaneously still works very well to produce a controlled and clean sound to balance the whole band. If you are just about to start doing gigs then this is pretty much all you need if you're not playing stadiums etc...

I was suggested to get 2 of these amps but in my opinion 1 is enough to suffice my personal needs.

All and all I rate this amp 5/5 because it suffices my personal needs for the time being.

Very, very good for that size and price!
SilViu 24.04.2017
In july 2013 I got a package of 2 pieces of B215D and a pair af speaker stand BS-2211B MKII! ...but now I will share with you some of my experience of 4 years of use! I got some parties from 40 to 150 people where those two speakers and my B1500D PRO subwoofer performed very good with a warm, clear and powerfull sound!...or I was with these two at some conferences or product presentation with an auditorium of 100 to 200 people were they performed very well for the people that speaked about products and in pauses I put some ambiental music and the people asked me about my speakers and the price of them and they were astonished about that quality at that correct range of price!
I'm very pleased about that speakers and how it sounds in every situation!
Thank you Thomann for this!!!

I was a little bit worried when I bought these that there would be not enough power but after trying them not for a couple of weeks I would have to say for the price they are great. I used to use 300 watt passive speakers and I would say these are a about the same power. I would proberly buy a bass bin if you want a bit of thump. You could carry both speakers in both arms has they are not that heavy. They do scratch and mark very easy so would recommend a cover of some sort. The have a fixing hole at the top so you could fix a light fixture. overall can complain for the price. I do hope they last as long as my thomann passive speakers but only time will tell.. At least we can edit reviews in the future so this review might change in the future!

Very good made inside
Anonymous 28.10.2014
The sound quality is ok, the loudness is impressive.
I would like to write here about one experience relevant for this review:
- I had a performance where the location where I had to install my music equipment gave me 380 Volt instead of 220V in the socket.
With this occasion I had to repair the loudspeaker, but the only burned piece was the fuse from inside - the one soldered on PCB (not the one you can replace in exterior).
I was very impressed by how modular and nice it is designed and made inside. You can see that is made at European quality, even if it is made in China.

With that occasion I also burned a THE BOX PA110 A. Here the defect was bigger with burned components and one speaker (high-frequency one). The interior design of the THE BOX was not impressive at all.
