Good Starter Interface
D.J.S 09.04.2020
The UM2 is a simple but effective interface that definitely does what you need to.

I had this coupled with an AT2020 and haven't had any issues with compatibility at all over the years. The only fault I could find was that if you raised your sound output to about 75% in the sound settings of your computer, you might find some static coming through your headphones/speakers. I tested this with my microphone unplugged so it's possible that Win10 might be argumentative at times.

Even with that, I can't fault it. It does what you need as a starter for any mic that needs phantom power and simple enough even for the newest of techies.

Light and made from plastic
JustinasK 23.03.2019
Can't tell anything about sound or processing quality. I had to return mine because of the build quality - it is made of plastic and just doesn't feel right for heavier use outside your studio. Just 6 eur. more and you could get Behringer U-Phoria UMC22 from Thomann, which beats this one and is mostly the same USB-interface apart from the fact that it's made from metal all-around and is a huge quality step up.

I use this audio interface to learn playing on the instrument. Cheap device a quite noisy, but performs it function. If you are a beginner guitarist and you need an audio interface, you may need to choose this product

I use this device in my office for MS Teams calls, and the pre-amp and DA conversion is more than sufficient to deliver a decent quality to my audience.

Good for newbies
Gerner 08.01.2019
I bought this as my entry to the recording world, to use with a recently purchased xlr mic. And to be honest, it has done its job very well! Now, of course you only get what you pay for, but i would still argue that its a pretty good value for your money. I dont have any experience with other audio interfaces, but as a starting interface, i would totally recommend it!

So far so good 👍
Rickerrick 26.01.2023
It's great for its price. The case and knobs are made of plastic so no interference protection. But for amateur use it's fine. I needed it to power up my ecm8000 and did so great.

J
great first interface for its price
JASO 30.01.2020
I'm high school student. So I needed something cheap, yet good sounding. I can say that this interface will fulfil every thing starting musician need. As me, I use it with microphone(at2020) and guitar(Squier affinity Strat) and it sounds really good with them.
Overall, it's great first interface for its price!
pros:
+price
+sound
+easy to use
+no drivers needed

cons:
-build quality
-lack of inputs
-hard cable

Good for guitar and bass recording
Devourment 29.05.2017
I bought this little thing to record my guitar and bass directly to my computer. And it works well.

Pros:
1. Super cheap
2. Sounds okay
3. 48 v phantom power for condenser mics

Cons:
1. This audio interface doesn't have any MIDI in/out so you can't record your electric drumkit with it
2. Its made of lightweight plastic and don't look solid
3. Even with a minimal gain knob level sound signal of my Ibanez with active EMG pickups is too high, from -2 to 0 dB and sometimes I definitely hear distortion.

Had some issues with setup, now works great
gorokizu 21.10.2020
I had some issues setting this interface up initially.
If you're having the issue where audio from your DAW comes through fine but no other audio plays (youtube, spotify etc.), go into the ASIO driver control panel and set input and output sample rate to 44.1khz, also disable exclusive mode.

Quality of the materials is ok and there isn't much noise coming through.

Pros
¤ Price
¤ Official ASIO Driver
¤ Good Build Quality for Price Range

Cons
¤ ASIO Drivers work well, but hard to find.
