Replacement pads for Sony MDR-7506 with some caveats
Han-earl 11.05.2017
Like a significant minority of users, I've replaced the pads on my Sony headphones (the MDR-7506 in my case) with these Beyer pads. The fit is good enough to work, and durability is at least as good as the stock pads.

A couple of caveats, however:

1. There?s a bit of a bass bump with the Beyer pads on the MDR-7506. You may or may not like the resulting sound. Possibly more significantly, the Beyer pads tranfer the cable vibrations to your ear more than the stock Sony pads. If you use your headphones in outdoor/location settings (on the move, in the wind), the extra cable noise may be an issue.

2. The material is different from the stock Sony pads, and you might find them less comfortable when working in warmer and/or more humid environments.

Good quality but a bit 'acoustically noisy'...
tone to the bone 12.04.2019
I purchased these along with a Beyerdynamic headband to refresh a very old pair of DT-250 headphones. being a manufacturer's original part, the quality is good as you would expect, but there does appear to be one significant negative I have noticed, at least for this user...

With these new pads, any tiny movement of the ear-pads against the ears and head during listening results in an audible amount of mechanical rub noise which seems significantly more noticeable than the original pads which seemed to be softer than these replacements.

I know this mechanical noise exists to some extent with most headphones but ideally you want it minimised for critical listening.

Perhaps there is a trade off to be had here i.e. durability versus softness of pads. I do find the new pads still very comfortable though and otherwise have no criticisms of their performance, I just find myself having to sit very still for the most critical listening e.g. of quiet passages of music.

Used for MDR-7506
Avid 04.06.2020
Used for MDR-7506. A lot more comfortable. Note the ear hole is smaller than the stock ones, fine for those with small ears.

I'm going to guess they put emphasis on the bass/ mids on the 7506's, possibly made them a little bit more muddled, but only a very small percentage. I'll take it with the comfort any day.

Tip to put them on is to stick your finger on the inner side where your ear goes and push/ stretch them over that way rather than pulling the outside.
