Bitwig is a modular daw that`s super stable has regular updates that add new features and has Linux support.
It has to mature with some of it`s features but it`s already at a very good level!
Everyone that`s familiar with Ableton will feel at home but will surely miss some things like audio to midi and the midi capture. Let`s hope they get added at the next update.
The Grid adds another dimension to the creative playground you get with it!
Devs had some trouble with the community after the release of spectral suite as an addon but they got their lesson and realized it was a bad approach. Of course everyone who is paying yearly support does it so to get the latest and greatest. After all that was one of my main concerns about supporting them was the constant development (get`s patched 2-3 months with new content) and the rate of updates.
Overall the workflow and Ui is nice and i think it needs to get more attention.
If you are on linux or want to spend less than ableton is asking you need to check it!

Versatile and Powerful DAW for Creative Producers
Aaron Dolan 21.09.2024
Bitwig Studio stands out for its flexibility and modular design, making it a favorite among electronic music producers. The integrated clip launcher and powerful modulation system allow for highly creative workflows. Its intuitive interface is easy to navigate for both beginners and seasoned professionals, though the software’s complexity may require some learning time. With regular updates and strong community support, it's a worthy investment for anyone looking to push their production boundaries.

Nicht überladen. Workflow ähnlich wie Ableton, aber in gut.
Schöneres Interface, geringere CPU Auslastung, alles was man braucht vorhanden, günstiger als Ableton Suite.
Not overloaded. Workflow similar to Ableton, but in good. Nicer interface, lower CPU usage, everything you need is there, cheaper than Ableton Suite. The grid looks powerful and will probably steal/give me a lot of time.

Le DAW Parfait pour le liveThe Perfect DAW for Live Performance
-SLV- 15.03.2024

After hesitation between buying Abeton, Studio One or Bitwing. I chose Bitwig Studio. My decision was based on the loading time of the software, also the fact that it is in French. Much more flexible than Ableton in reality. I have almost no latency, if any. Also, to support its development which promises in the future. I really love its interface and the ability to play live. One last thing, I really find it more intuitive than Ableton, more beautiful and much more efficient than the latter, and its price is very reasonable. Message for Thomann. Update the software information, like that it is in French, that it saves audio in several formats (audio export) etc... It is also perhaps the only thing that almost made me choose another software daw. I recommend rubbing by the way. In any case thank you thomann, for offering us the best daw :-P
