I buy this identical power supply for my Boss VF-1, is the original power supply, i needed for live or jam session with friends and my band.
Compare with my old power supply has a little and imperceptible noise, to hear it must be very concentraded and there must not be noise in room or place, this not create any problem to rack or sound.
Many old rack don't have spare parts or is difficult to find but thomann for my half rack solved my issue.
I have 2 boss VF-1 and I think that will buy another for my second multifx.

I have the power!
Pete6590 29.03.2014
This was bought purely as a back-up to my original power supply for the Boss GT6B. The original power supply was fine, well used and showing a few minor marks so just in case...
It really isn't worth buying a cheap copy of this Boss power supply. Many 'copies' are flimsy, not built to a high standard and are liable to let you down at the crucial moment. This power supply has the sturdy feel and reassuring quality that you know will get you out of a problem. It is rugged enough to withstand the casual knocks and scrapes that are inevitable when gigging or carrying the power supply around in your gig bag. The wire is quite thick and feels tough, so it is not going to wear quickly or have the wires break inside because of insufficient protection.
The only thing I had to do was to cut off the European plug and replace it with a UK standard plug. Do make sure that use use the correct fuse in the plug. The suggested is an 8 amp fuse. A good buy.

Heavy-duty 14v Boss unit-standard with many Boss units
Anonymous 26.08.2016
I have had one of these 14V power supply units for over 15 years to power my Boss GT-3 FX pedal. It is extremely robust and hard-wearing and was never damaged from knocks, bumps and generally being man-handled throughout years of live and home use. The power unit cable is really long which is very useful if you want a tidy floor space and/or if there are limited plug-boards available..
I recently acquired an old Roland (Boss) drum machine (Dr Rhythm) with no power supply and this required this exact same power supply used for Boss GT-3. It would seem to be standard therefore with many Boss devices.
The reason for purchase was so that I could run Boss GT3 and Boss drum machine concurrently. I think I will die before this power supply does.
