Gorgeous and True Stereo Sounds
FuraxFil 26.05.2020
A lot of chorus pedals with stereo output will send the chorused sound to amp A and the dry sound (un-processed) to amp B... This is one of the few true-stereo chorus available on the market.

This box adds modulation, but in a subtle way. I like it when the LFO sweep is not pronounced too much because LFOs are predictive (I am a user of the Catalinbread zero point flanger and the Pigtronix quantum chorus). The panning in between the amps is also subtle and interesting; it's not comparable to a stereo tremolo or to a ping-pong delay. It creates some kind of 3D-sound in the room. It's like there is, in addition to the panning between left and right amp, some kind of intensity panning in between the amps and your ears. Difficult to explain... I tend to agree with Boss' statement: "It's modulation so people think it's a chorus, but it's not"...

When both inputs are used, the device is not sending input A to output A and input B to output B like others would, but will add its Dimension panning effect on top of e.g. a slow tremolo panning effect.

I was a purchaser of Boss pedals in the 1990's and all of them are still properly working in 2020 (Boss pedals last forever). I then switched to boutique effects. I am amazed how this Waza craft erases the disappointments I could have had with Boss in the past (noise, lack of warmth, connectivity).

Together with my MXR Phase pedal I'm in an instant eighties soundscape
markkus 13.02.2021
This pedal has such a recognizable sound, it takes you straight back to the eighties. I use itb in combination with my MXR phase 100 and every cord is an instant reference to 30 to 40 year old pop-hit. I like the SDD-320 settings best, a bit warmer than the original Dim-C settings, but this is also influenced by the pick-ups and pick-up selections I set on my guitars. I get nice sounds from it, a nice Police feel and anything which was originally played on a synth, it colors this very well. Also works great with some extra drive or gain in the chain, currently I'm feeding it into a dirty little secret to get a more marshally edge to my fender amp.. this is a great tone. And when at some point you don't notice your chorus anymore, you can tweak it a bit by combining different settings. For now it's almost always-on, it's not prone to digital ear fatigue as some more digital chorus effects I have in a few modulation pedals. The stereo setup is something I have to play with, for now I could only play with it in my mixing desk, but it 'wide'. Furthermore it's Boss quality, no distracting hum when used with a proper Boss power supply.

A
Boss DC-2w Dimension Chorus
Arsen_Saryyev 31.01.2024
Pros:

1. Legendary Dimension effect: The Boss DC-2w successfully recreates the famous sound of the original DC-2 Dimension C, giving the user access to a unique chorus effect that gives the sound space and depth.

2. Versatile Use: This pedal is suitable for a variety of musical styles. From subtle space expansion to more pronounced effects, the DC-2w can adapt to different musical genres.

3.SDD-320 Modernized Mode: The optional SDD-320 mode brings a new take on the classic sound, providing more modern and experimental features.

4. Rugged Performance: Boss has always been known for its rugged and reliable enclosures, and the DC-2w is no exception. It stands up to heavy use on stage and in the studio.

Cons:

1. Price: the Boss DC-2w may be higher in price compared to some of its counterparts. However, considering the sound quality and features, it is an investment in sound.

Conclusion:

The Boss DC-2w Dimension Chorus is a great pedal for those looking for a classic chorus sound with added modern features. The ability to recreate the legendary sound of the original DC-2 Dimension C makes this pedal appealing to vintage sound lovers. Despite the somewhat high price tag, it justifies its cost with its quality and versatility. I recommend the Boss DC-2w to those who appreciate outstanding chorus effect and are looking for reliable equipment from a trusted manufacturer.

A classic reborn
mobus 05.07.2019
Instantly recognisable 80s chorus sounds. I felt the immediate need to play the riff to Purple Rain. Had to wait about 6 months to find a dealer that had one of these in stock - I think that says everything about the desire people have to own this. Having had an orginal DC on my board for a few months the new one has the same breadth without the warble that most chorus' have.

Piece of Art

I bought this pedal to use in a stereo set up (2x Boss Katana 50). The Dimension Chorus is a fantastic pedal, particularly in this setting. You have to hear it to believe it. Some time ago i had the experience of playing/recording through an original Dimension D and was doubtful that this pedal could reproduce that feeling... It does. Can be used also to great effect with synths and other machines.

Pros: Indestructible - Handcrafted in Japan
Cons: None

I wanted one as a kid, but they only did them for a short period, so I was happy to see this new Waza version. The two modes are slightly different, but both sound great. Built like a tank, happy to have this.

I love it

I wanted that sound, and it is that sound. To be more specific, the chorus sound of the 80's. But because this is stereo I have ended up using it quite a lot for a last in chain stereo blossom. It's a totally beautiful sound, and the color makes me happy too.

Boss DC-2w Dimension Chorus
EricDC 23.07.2020
I was looking for a original but this re-release came at just the right time.
Excelent chorus that sounds like nothing else other than dimension chourus. The mode that recreates the ol rack unit is a great addition.
Great to thicken up a sound and het that double tarcked vibe or like a lush chorus but without the wobble.
