My Rycote lavalier wind jammers were torn apart after lots of use and abuse over the years so I decided to go for something new: enter the Windbubbles. The theory says that they create a cavity around the microphone for better wind protection, which is true, but in practice this means that the fur sits not tightly around the microphone and that any movement can create noise from the Windbubble touching the microphone. I managed to fix the problem for now with some tape, but I'll be buying Rycote windjammmers again soon.
