Having played Roland and Yamaha boards for years I finally took the plunge and went for the Nord. I use it mainly for live gigs (small to medium sized venues) with both 2 piece and 6 piece lineups.
Pros
(1) The piano and organ sounds are, in my view, unmatched by anything else I have played. The depth of the piano samples - particularly the grands - is superb. Ditto for the Rhodes and Wurlis. Similarly, the B3 sounds (and the ability to easily edit these in a live situation) are fantastic.
(2) The HP keyboard is great. Some will prefer the waterfall version, but as a piano player first and foremost I went for the HP option and have not regretted it.
(3) Portability. This is so easy to carry around, even in the pvc flight case that I bought with it. So much easier than my 88 key Roland.
(4) Program patch storage for quick recall live is a breeze.
Cons
(1) It may be I haven't got the best out of it yet, but the synth patches are not (in my view) as warm or rich as on my Roland boards.
(2) While improved from earlier versions of the Electro, the panel is still not as intuitive as some other brands. With practice and familiarity I expect that this should get easier.
Overall : delighted with my decision, as is my 18 year son who can't stay away from it!

Bin begeistert vom Update von 4 auf 6 HPI'm excited about the update from 4 to 6 HP
MrPiano 28.04.2020

As a hobby pianist, I have been playing Nord Electro instruments for years at home, while jamming and on stage. I'm excited about switching from the Electro 4 HP to 6 HP - one step closer to the real feeling of playing the piano in terms of keyboard and sound. The Nord sounds (piano, organ, synth) have become significantly more varied and improved thanks to the new features/effects. The instrument is still light, solid and compact for transport to the session. Positives: 1. Higher quality samples for Electric Piano thanks to the Enhanced Versions. 2. EP8 Nefertiti MKI without defect in the tone F with pedal (occurred with the Nord Electro 4 HP). 3. Importing and replacing new instruments on the instrument is faster with the 6 HP than with the Electro 4. The backup is also possible thanks to the cache. 4. Audio In is routed not only to headphones but also to Audio Out. 5. Stepless control knobs are smoother. List knobs have levels. 6. Depending on the headphones, some sounds/samples may produce noise (Bose QC25 yes, Sennheiser HD201 no). 7. Keyboard clatter while gaming is quieter on the 6 HP than on the 4 HP. Negative: 1. Seamless transition does not work when switching off a layer or outside of a program. 2. The Electro 6 HP is slightly heavier at 11.4kg than the Electro 4 HP 11kg - but still light overall. 3. Selection (LED switch instead of rotary control) of the organ type is not consistent with the piano and synth section.

I received the Nord Electro 6 HP yesterday, plugged it in and started using it straight away. The keys have good dynamics and, in my opinion, are really well done (weight, size,...). Each section can be controlled individually and can be mixed as desired. After 4 hours of testing I can only say: TOP product! I would buy again, I'm thrilled!

Extrem gute angesagt Sounds.
At first I was still debating whether I should use the Nord Electro with Waterfall keyboard, but the HP keyboard is also great for playing the organ for my purposes. Otherwise: A keyboard dream. Extremely good hip sounds.
