Portable protection

I've just completed my first journey to a gig using this case, involving several trains, cars and walking and found it to be really comfortable. Before this, I was using a hard case with the Nord Stage, and while not particularly heavy, the additional weight combined with the single carry handle made it a bit of a pain when walking any distance, requiring stopping and changing hands frequently. With this soft case, I wore it as a backpack (works well), wore another small backpack on my front and also brought along a wheeled suitcase. This arrangement, while maybe looking a bit strange, was no problem when walking long distances.
As well as offering the shoulder straps, this case can be carried using the small handles seen (useful for short distances), and it also comes with a long single shoulder strap so there are plenty of options. I didn't really use the long single shoulder strap method as it is a bit cumbersome when going through doorways.
The Nord Stage 3 fits snugly in this case and there is a deep pile interior providing better protection against scratches and bashes than most soft cases I have used before. Obviously you will still need to employ caution - you shouldn't set heavy items on top of this and large drops and heavy bashes may be too much for it to protect.
The side pocket is big enough for a sustain pedal and a couple of leads but no more.
It's bright red and says 'Nord' in large letters - I think I would have preferred more inconspicuous styling that would draw attention to its valuable contents, but of course Nord want to advertise their brand.
It's certainly expensive, but I think it is worth the expense for the snug fit, carrying options and deep pile interior. I can't comment on the long-term reliability of the stitching or whether the soft interior will compact yet, but it appears to be well-made and designed.

H
Softcase for Clavia 73 keys
Heinrich282 15.05.2013
Actually a must for every Clavia Electro-player: Perfect fit, good quality and decent protection (it's not a flightcase, remember ...). And since you already bought an instrument MADE for travel and session play, go and buy a proper softcase. Plus it will keep your instrument free of scratches and thus keep the re-sale value up ...

Perfect for traveling and gigs
Anonymous 19.01.2016
I play 2-3 gigs a week now, and I travel a lot to get to them all, mostly I travel by car, train and such, and with my Electro 5D this bag has made my life so much easier. I can just trow the thing on my back, like a gitar or bass bag, and I have room for the keys, power supply and jacks. The only thing I've been missing on this bag is a little bit bigger room on the side, so that my pedals would fit. I can fit the Nord sustain(single) pedal in it though, but my control and expression pedals have to go in my backpack, on the side.

Still, it's a good quality backpack style bag, straps are sturdy, the handle is great and the inside is really nice and caring for my Nord. No scratching possible :)

Price is good I think, and you won't need wheels cause the total weight with the Nord is around 11-13 kilograms. Perfect for travelling light and often.

Fits really neatly, light, shame about the small pocket.
Mdizzle 05.04.2019
My Nord Electro 3 fits perfectly inside this streamlined, light and safe soft case. It feels snug, safe and secure, but isn't difficult to fit inside.

The only small shame is the size of the outer pocket, which barely fits the sustain pedal and power cable. No extra space for cables, which means needing to pack them separately, keeping everything a little bit disorganised.

Apart from that, it's a great case and I'd recommend it.

Hi to all! I have this soft case for 6 years and it's still superb, the instrument fits perfectly and protects it well. Love the velvet-like material inside. Recommend it!

Beautiful, lightweight and very practical to carry around case.
Although, after 10 years of use, the seams of the fabric are dried.

Beautiful soft case, but little impact protection.
rocknrollbaz 15.02.2016
There is no doubt this is a great looking product, with the striking red colour and beautiful Nord font, and fits my Nord Electro 5D 73 perfectly. The only drawback is that it is completely soft, i.e. no reinforced top or corners, therefore not really suitable for putting your keyboard in the back of a van/car with other equipment which may move about. The pouch on the front is a great size for cables, pedals etc. and the interior is luxuriously soft. There are an abundance of straps and handles so very versatile for carrying in various ways, and all feel extremely sturdy and secure. An excellent case if used with care, although again I would not feel comfortable putting my £1500+ keyboard in the back of a van on tour with it unless fully strapped in and secured.
