This is a nicely made simple tail piece. The ebony used is a bit lighter than other harder denser ebonies. In fact, it is a bit lighter than the Tintul tailpiece, which is in between hard ebony and boxwood in terms of weight and density.
Personally I prefer the Conrad Götz ZA350-115 Violin Tailpiece, because the ebony is harder and more polished.
