I thought there was a problem with my guitar using this cable but I soon realised that the cable itself was the one picking up (or creating) a lot of buzz and hum in my recordings.
This cable produced enough noise to drown out the sound of the guitar itself - it's easy enough to test: plug the cable into the amp or sound card and leave it disconnected from the guitar. Some cables (like this one) act like an antenna and pick up signals and noise from the surrounds. Other (better) cables do not and are silent (or very close).
This cable picks up a lot of noise and EM. The cable is shielded but the shielding can't be very good. That's to be expected for this price but makes the cable a bad choice if you care at all about sound fidelity.
