Daddario strings: broken "inner string" during tuning!

Hallo Firma Thomann,
I received the strings I ordered, installed them on my guitar, when adjusting them, the lower E-string, got immediately broken... the INNER string broke, right after installment... somewhat disappointed, I have been waiting too long to react... the guitar is standing in a mount, un-used since that time. FYI: I did not wind the string too tight! The inner string broke inside the winding... what should I do?

Bought as a spare

Bought these as a spare just in case of breakage and will probably fit eventually when current strings die.

Also bought to get free shipping on an order.

Cant comment on sound or quality as these will sit in a box for years until needed.

But usual excellent service from Thomann in getting these.
