Superb in C - standard
Dapapa 06.12.2021
Love these strings when down tuned to C standard on my Harley Benton CLA-15VS! Really easy to bend and the low strings give out that. … dunno , slight overdriven and chewy sound when I dig into them and the high strings have such lovely highs without being harsh. Well balanced and sound great. Getting these again for sure. Minimum finger noise too.

S
Workhorse Acoustic Guitar Strings
Schengis 30.01.2021
These strings have essentially been the backbone of the acoustic sound in my band for over 3 years. We have burned through dozens and dozens of these sets over time, but we always come back to them.

Playing in a band that has had 85 shows a year in the past, we had to change a lot of strings. These strings have had the most consistent and predictable sound quality out of what we've tried, and they also come at a fair price. At any given time, I've got a 3 pack of these in the gig bag ready to go.

Not overly bright, but also not to dull/thuddy, these strings are on probably more acoustic guitars than you can count. I personally have no major complaints, but the lifespan on these strings certainly isn't long, especially if you don't know how to take care of strings. On the road, we were changing these out maybe once every 3-5 shows (typically 1+hour sets with LOTS of sweat and hand-oil) and in the studio maybe once a month when played regularly.

TL/DR: These strings are a workhorse set that consistently deliver at an affordable price point.

Excellent strings, amazing value!
Anonymous 06.09.2016
I've been playing guitar for over 25 years and in my opinion, these are the best strings money can buy!

The sealed packet keeps the strings mint unlike lower quality strings in paper bags getting oxodised.
Even when on the guitar for a long time, they don't turn green and sound horribly dull like a LOT of other string brands out there. I've tried a lot over the years and always, ALWAYS come back to D'Addario!

These are beautifully bright with a crisp low end, and are very comfortable to play.

This is personal preference to a point, but some other brand strings I find feel too grippy or too greasy (those plastic coated, dull and slimey type - yuck) or don't bend without ripping your fingers off -- and this is nothing to do with gauge or guitar the strings are on, or bad playing habits in these cases.
These are simply great feeling and sounding strings. I play fingerstyle/tapping and these are ideal for that - every subtle harmonic shines through, but these would be great for any playing style.

They stretch to perfection almost immediately so no almost going out of tune once tightened and tuned initially.
Each string has a colour-coded end (and a key on the packet) so it's immediately clear which string is which, so that's a nice touch.

To top all that off, the price is excellent! Crazy good value!

Great quality and reliability
Randyboy 14.04.2019
I've been using these strings on all my acoustic guitars for over 20 years. They sound great, feel great, and hardly ever break. I don't use any other string on tour.
Price-wise they are affordable, and I consider them a bargain with the quality and reliability they possess.

Price and Curiosity pulled me in
Anonymous 31.03.2016
This was another purchase I made for my son's needs.

Daddario is a brand I used in the early days of my own playing career and I had always been pleased. I encouraged my son to try these strings because I was attracted by price and the name.

These strings are what you'd expect from a leading manufacturer and they need to be good to satisfy my son's desire for quality. I often find that people can be influenced by price; but I am certain that price is not necessarily a great indicator of quality.

I have had the benefit of hearing my son's recorded parts in isolation for some time and I have to say that the Daddarios match up to anything he's used before, and he has used many of the top names in guitar strings. We tend to multi-track his rhythm guitar parts and then add his lead parts on top. In any part of recording, if you have something that's bad and you multi-track it (say a bad microphone), it will sound horrible when you have lots of them; and with these strings, my son's multi-tracked guitar parts sounded awesome.

The price is definitely right on these strings: Thomann have done it again! I will be coming back to buy more of these sets of strings.

Very good
Bullyweeman 18.05.2020
I've been known to buy cheap (and sometimes nasty) electric guitar strings, but I never skimp on acoustic strings. That said, these weren't/aren't the most expensive strings money can buy. What they are, are really good sounding, reliable guitar strings. Which for my money, makes them great value.
I'd actually had thes a while, before I started using them, and they didn't seem to have suffered from the lengthy storage time..

cant go wrong with Daddario...

I've used quite a few different types of strings, but I still think as a 'standard' acoustic string, these are hard to beat. Personally I prefer them to the Martins.
