Still using the set that came with my GS Mini Koa bass nearly 2 years ago and they are to my ears improving with time and use( it could be me just getting better at playing them though). I don't gig with the bass so I can't go into how they would hold up over more intensive playing, only to suspect that they wouldn't let you down. The tension is a lot lighter than metal core strings so with a light touch you already have access to big rich and deep tones. The harder you dig in, the more you will get into fret buzz territory but it comes with the advantage to pulling those rubbery sounds akin to an upright bass. I've read complaints about the bass/strings that the E string is not as loud as the others but I haven't experienced that problem. Love these strings!
