I've used Elixir Nanoweb for a long time, being pretty happy with their prolonged life and the punch they deliver. I decided to give the NY XL a try and I haven't looked back. I like the way they feel, the way they sound, and they do last longer than a set of regular D'Addario strings. I wasn't expecting much given I bought them for my Dean V to use in drop B for slugdy, doomy stuff, but they're surprisingly good and I plan on using them from now on on this guitar. While the low strings are thick and heavy, the higher one are very soft and flexible, giving me a lot of versatility throughout the fretboard. I'm done experimenting, NY XL are keepers for me :)
