Darkglass Microtubes 500 V2 Bass Head

I really do love this head. Everything feels really well put together. There is a definite experience of quality to all controls and a reassuring weight to the unit.
Very load and the sound is simply perfect. For about 5 weeks I was so happy., then., the unit started to cut out while using. It was very random. Sometimes running for more than 2 hours before cutting our and something only a few minutes. Most likely some protection circuit is kicking in.
I ran a number of ‘environment’ tests to try find what might cause the issue but no joy. In 3 different environments on multiple occasions the head continued to cut out (anywhere between 2 mins and 2 hours).
Sometimes, with a brief off/on, it would come back to life. But even then, it could cut out again after a few minutes (or sometimes after another hour or so).

The unit is back with Thomann now. I really hope they can find a ‘problem’ as without finding the problem (and fixing it) I coudl not ever trust this head enough to use it.
