These strings are insane for the price!!
Jimi89 22.09.2017
I decided to try these strings on a whim as I use 10-52s from E-standard to D-standard tuning and other companies charge a bit of an arm and a leg for this gauge, for some reason. I picked up 6 packs of these strings to keep me going for a while and while I was apprehensive at first, I was pleasantly surprised in the end.

The Good:
These strings are bright and lively! They sound amazing across the spectrum of musical genres from pop to metal, they hold up great.

The Bad:
The only bad thing I have to say about these strings is that, unfortunately, their longevity is not the greatest and I find they can start to sound muddy after only a short time.

All in all, I would recommend these strings to anyone who prefers to change their strings regularly enough, for example, gigging guitarists etc. They really are an amazing sounding and versatile set of strings!

Surprisingly good
Anonymous 02.01.2017
I've been experimenting with strings for a while now. For years I've mostly been a fan of GHS Boomers because they always felt like a nice middle ground between Ernie Ball's and D'addario's. These were actually more of a curiosity buy just because they were so cheap and because of that my expectations were a little low. What a surprise these were! They feel stiffer than the Boomers (but still slinkier than the D'addario's) and that took some getting used to but as a trade off my guitar holds tuning a lot better. The clarity and brightness is what surprised me the most, and with a wipe down after playing the life has been pretty impressive as well. I've gone from being sceptical to completely sold on them, no more messing about jumping between brands. These are my new go to strings. At this price they're worth at least trying out and you really can't go wrong.

Roto replacements!
Anonymous 17.10.2015
I have been using Roto Blues @ 10-52 for years, partly because they are affordable and partly for the extra 1st string But I fancied a change after hearing good things about these Dean Markley LTHB.
I'm suprised at how bright they sound and for how long they stay bright, my previous brand would stay bright for a couple of hours playing maximum, but I've now had these Markleys on 2 guitars and each has had around 6 or 7 hours playtime, and they are still sounding fresh!
Sure I don't get a spare 1st string, but I don't break many as I'm a reasonably light touch on the guitar and the price Thomann does these string for makes it affordable to just buy another few sets!
They seem to be decent at keeping tune too, no better or worse than the other brand I've been using, so that's another good point.
I can see myself using these in the far distant future, especially if the price stays as keen as it is now!

Thanks Thomann!

Feel.
Peter R. 438 25.07.2017
If You believe that strings can feel good or #, these have a feel to them that works for me.
These strings seem to bend in a predictable manner, I suppose 1/2 of this feel is a good (old) favorite guitar, well, these help to compliment my many hours of practice and play on my old guitar and I certainly like the "Markley" brand (acoustic too.
I know that I would never have come to know this brand if it was not for the sales "persons" at Thomann.

Just to try 10-52
Shinmaki 14.04.2021
I usually play with 10-46 strings and bought these strings to try higher gauge for the three bottom strings. This set was among the cheapest. Having tried on my Les Paul Tribute, it does its job with a nice sound that lasts long enough.

Small price, average value
Anonymous 28.02.2015
Not the best, but still okay for this price.
It loses the "fresh string feeling" about 1-2 days. I mean, it not has that belly sound and the slippery touch what I've got used to from other brands.
After 2 weeks, no rust.
I think its will be okay for a few more weeks. (yep, I don't change string too often...)
I think I've got what I payed for. No more, no less.
If you haven't tried this gauge before, give it a shot with this cheap strings.

Maybe not as long lasting as some other brands, but good value for money

Its OK, but not the best.
Anonymous 18.08.2016
Its quality is good, but on my guitar it hadn't a long lifetime. Its tone is ok for a classic rocknroll sound, but for metal or jazz is a bit weak. After all, it is not a bad string, but if you especially play metal or jazz, ther are many better choices.

Can't hear the diffrence with other brands
Anonymous 27.01.2016
I'm only a bedroom player so I can't give a professional opinion.
But I've played for over 3 years now so I have changed a few strings by now.

The only thing that stands out is that the top 3 strings are thicker than the standard sets.

But the sound is good overall so I'm happy.

Good value basic strings
DrewCadaver 07.01.2015
I purchased these as an alternative to Elixirs which is my usual choice. The first difference I noticed is how they feel, given I'm used to coated strings. They feel much smoother, but as they're not coated the quality deteriorates much faster than a coated set.

They sounded good, but given how long they lasted, I'll probably stick with coated from now on.
