Not the sound I was looking for.

I was looking for a hot bridge pickup for metal. On paper, this humbucker hsould have been a perfect fit.

I have a guitar with Might Mite Motherbuckers and compared to those pickups, this one has much less output. So I was kinda dissapointed by this :(

On the plus side, this pickup has great individual note definition with distortion. So it is more suited for complex/progressive riffs.

Unfortunately, I found it to be very inconsistent in EQ area.
If I dialed up a good tone for low strings(6/7), then high strings(1/2/3) sounded very thin.
And vice versa, if I dialed up a good tone for high strings(1/2/3), then low strings(6/7) had way too much bass.

Would recommend only if you have a graphic EQ pedal and don't need a pickup for extreme metal. Then it is a great purchase.

JO
Great tone but quite noisy

This pickup sounds great with distortion, but it also has a lot of noise. So you will need a noise gate or it will drive you nuts.

A
Very good pup for the price
Anonymous 02.01.2016
It's a very clear but punchy pup.
i use it in my JP7 and it sounds like it was designed for this guitar.
if you wanna go dark heavy, this one is not an option, but if you are playing anything from pop to old school rock and hard/heavy, this is a very good option to look into.
good amount of mids, i'd like to have more bass on it but its fixable when you use an axe fx =)
