X2N Humbucker
thefantobi 10.03.2021
If you're thinking about buying this pickup then you probably already know a little about it.
It is hands down the most transparent humbucker i have ever used, the entire frequency range comes through your amplifier, sparkling highs and booming lows.
I highly recommend this for anyone with a mahogany body guitar as it seems they perfectly compliment each other .
It is very loud and will make all your other pickups sound tiny and i have mine split and it sounds amazing so this is a great way to temper its extremes.

I fitted mine into my Ibanez RG and have played it though both modern and vintage tube amps and i have to hand it Dimarzio this pickup sings no matter what you plug it into.

I use it mainly for classic rock with the volume rolled down to 7, then crank to 10 for solos.

Buy one, you will not regret it.

High output, clarity and blade magnet, which enables to pull your strings without losing any sustain makes this pickup perfect.

Great passive pickups for metal
the_real_cmp 10.11.2021
I was looking for a high output passive humbucker on one of my cheaper ibanez guitar (s520) and oh boy it brought that guitar to life. Very sharp and aggressive tone and being a Death fan it helps get close to Chuck's tone. Also a very clear pickup, didn't not expect it to be as clear as it is, I can hear the notes in chords even with lots of gain, dialing the amp a bit makes it also possible to achieve good clean tones.

The rail design looks sick and manufacturing quality is also great.
10/10 would buy an X2N again if I had to.

S470 bridge
Kwadrat777 22.02.2020
I'm using it with my Ibanez s470. After replacing the stock pickup, that guitar came to life.

It's very easy to overdrive it, but if you are gentle with gain, you can even get a nice clean sound from it.

High output, clear sound
IpatiyPotiy 05.01.2023
I like this pickup so much, because it have high output, but also a high clarity sound fnd he`s a lot less messy than my previous one, which was a stock jackson humbucker. This pickup sounds good at high gain, and on clean it sounds good, especially for a humbucker. So, the pickup is great and i totally recommend it

One of the best metal pickups out there!!!
John_K 05.08.2019
This is my favorite bridge pickup from Dimarzio by far! Either alder or mahogany guitars it offers punchy rhythms and squealing solos and boosts every amp! For clean channel people, i'd recommend split option!

High output flixible pickup
Heaventeo 07.01.2019
I saw many people use this for metal, but when i've put it in my Warmoth superstrat, i discovered that it can play eneything.
Tapping never was so easy. Dimarzio's heavy weapon for players who want high output pickup even if they play blues. It was a surprise to me how flexible this pickup is.

V
My favourite pickup
Viscounto 27.05.2018
These things are seriously high output, so much so you have to be careful with your choice of neck pickup (most people go with tone zone bridge pickups to use in the neck) Dispite the crazy output its not over the top, it has a lovely sound and spit coiled can handle anything that's thrown at it. Imagine the clarity of passive with the output of active.

Great in both serial and parallel wiring. Excellent hi-gain sounds on my Charvel SoCal through EVH LBX, Engl Savage and JCM800KK. No complaints.
