I used this pickup in the middle position of a single coil strat and its perfect for anyone who is looking for that John Mayer sound.
The HS-2 is a great pickup, although it has very low output not making it ideal for bridge position it doe have some great tonal character once enough volume is used.
Eric Johnson has used this pickup in the past which alone speaks volumes on how good this pickup sounds.
