Formant filters is one of the main subjects when talking about synthesizers emulating human voices. So the term "formant" in the product description would suggest this filter may do just that job. But it is nothing more than a multi band cut-off and resonance filter, definititely not the formant in a rather morphing context. Obviously you'd need more modules for this purpose. The resonance section has an interesting subharmonic tendency when turning the knobs to the max. I do keep it as to polish the stand-alone Neutron ouput to make it sound warm and lush. So incidentally a nice unintentional add-on.

good for shaping
Stefnir 13.08.2017
i usually use it after a osc and before another filter for shaping the initial sound. Now its a lot of hp for that and it could do with cv in's for something, anything, just to get it to breath a little but its a cool idea and works wonders every once in a while. also, i bought it after talking to biggi veira from gusgus about how usefull it is.
