I purchased this for the same reason you're probably reading this review - to convert MIDI into CV/Gate signals.

It works really well, despite the menu system not being particularly intuative. You may need to keep a printout of the manual around for a little while.

Other than that, the fact that you can change the speed of the clock signal that's sent out is a bonus too.

I've not tried any similar modules but I'm thoroughly happy with my A-190-4.
