I purchased this bow as a first step up from the bow I got with my beginner cello set. I've only been learning the cello for 6 months, however the difference between the Dorfler D7A and my old bow was immediately noticeable. Even without playing, I could feel the bow was lighter. The balance to the tip when held ready to play was easier on my right hand.
The quality of the wood stick, frog and button was also easily discerned when comparing to my previous bow.
The sound produced is also an improvement. I'm still developing my intonation and ability to listen while playing, so to be able to hear a noticeable improvement almost immediately tells me this bow was absolutely worth the price.
The bow was well packaged and arrived in the UK in tip top condition.

Good CP (cost-performance ratio) worth, that is, good value for money.
