Great alternative for Jazz3ers
Mudslide73 05.10.2017
I use these on electric and acoustic. I've recorded and done many gigs since I switched over from standard Jazz IIIs.

They have the same great shape as all of the other Jazz IIIs but have a stiffer but lighter quality to them. I'm very much a fan of how they sound for lead work but they can be held more lightly for shimmery chording.

The stiffness and shape combine to give very articulate picking and I can definitely play more quickly with these picks. Dynamic range is amazing with the smallest pick strokes being audible but powerful upstrokes make the notes almost explode out of the speakers.

Fast, accurate and dynamic. Lovely.

Like the grip and action with these pic. But if you buy a bag then check misprints. These can have sharp edges and then youre cutting youre strings. Happened to me.

r
best pick when bevelled
repo251 27.06.2019
if you bevel this pick you've got an extremely fast and versatile mediator. i've used it on hard tension nylons, acoustic and jazz 11-47s and 9s and 10s and you can get a great sound on all.
with a deep bevel the gypsy pick slant rest stroke technique is possible and really projects on acoustic guitars, i mean LOUD! without bevelling it's not nearly as effective.
4 hours shredding a day will get you a week from these fellas, tho at less than 1 euro a pop, who's complaining when wegens are 15euros and a gravity sunrise which also only lasts one week is €5 per..
imo it's dunlop's best, tho i totally dig a lot of the jazz iii variants.

i wish thomann would sell the 24 packs tho!!

My favorite guitar picks for electric guitar.
YannisPapadopoulos 11.03.2021
I think the title is pretty self-descriptive. I just can't imagine having a better pick for electric guitar. Perfect grip, thickness, and attack-response feel!

I hope these will always continue exist just as they are.

Not my cup of tea.

I prefer JAZZ III 1,38 mm to these (even though these seem to be more comfortable grip-wise). 2.0 tips are just too blunt, which causes unwanted noise while picking high strings (Some music styles are OK with this noise as far as I know). It also may be grainy surface of the black ones (My 1.38 mm are Tequila Gold, and they are slick). I would recommend 1,38 mm over 2,0 mm.

Killer pick!
Nikolas Vog 22.12.2021
The best one I've tried in 15 years of playing electric & acoustic guitar.
It is durable, made of really good material, it has a nice grip and I believe it is suitable for Jazz, Blues and Progressive metal music.
Staccato notes sound amazing with this one! especially on a mid gain overdrive on high gain burst distortion!

Jazz 3 improved

Obviously a very popular pick size - I like these for their sharper pick edge and slightly snappier attack than my usual 3mm Big Stubby that I use regularly.

Experimenting with a few different picks you may be surprised at the impact it can have tone-wise, particularly with hollowbody guitars.

Overall a good feeling pick, the raised lettering does help with grip. Bought these for an experiment - also work nicely for acoustics.
