my guitar teacher is very particular about me at least giving heavy picks a try (I personally prefer extra heavy). The material of these is one of my favorites.
If you have a very tight grip on your picks, these tend to bend which makes them feel weird, so I guess they might be a tool to remind yourself not to grip the pick too tightly, although i don't think that's what you'd buy them for.
anyways, overall they're very nice guitar picks

I use these for my Telecaster which I tend to string with Regular gauge strings instead of lighter strings on my Gibsons. I find these heavier picks let me play with a slightly lighter attack than my Mediums. The Picks have an OK grip unless you tend to sweat a lot on stage where you might prefer a pick with grip ridges. The pick lasts as well as any other picks I've tried and a pack of 12 will keep you going for months.
