Love these picks
Ebos 20.12.2020
They last a LONG time!! At least for my playing and I'm not light on the strings. I absolutely adore the shape and it feels great to play with.

Very sturdy and actually quite handsome. I can't recollect it ever slipping or flying out of my hands but that can also depend on how and what you play.

Best picks I have used. The smaller Jazz III size is a personal favourite as well as a favourite among a majority of metal and jazz players -- so popular in fact that Dunlop have an article which can be found online which discusses the cult that has grown up around Jazz III picks.

Before I found Jazz III picks I used tortex picks without exception. I experimented with sharp-tip tortex in an attempt to find a pick better suited to fast picking and precision but found myself disliking them immensely. Afterward I found Dunlop's Jazz picks and immediately found benefit in the extra control one gets from a smaller pick.

So it was only natural that I would try out these once I found tortex in my favourite gauge in a Jazz III shape. And, for me, they're perfect.

However there is one important thing: do NOT get the black version of these picks. They have a slippery finish that makes a large difference if you play fast and need a lot of control. DO get the white version. Also, tortex has never wore well, so if that is an issue, you may want to try ultex.

Great picks, little different from black ones in feeling through the strings!
alexlotta 26.10.2022
1.14 ( also 1.35 ) both black and White ones , new received in same kind of package .
Tone is of course the same kind . but if you do some fast scales or even better some sweeps , you feel that black and ones are little different .Even if they are same material!
Tried over and over and with closed eyes to don't "auto-cheat "myself ,or did look o place hand at same spot .Not better or worst , but different . At speed picking whites have higher and clearer attack , black are smoother less clear but also more "forgiving" for that reason ,expecially on higher registers . That when you play alone is noticeable

Great grip and Warm, Thick sound

amazing pick.
I would say Identical size and feel to Dunlop Tortex Jazz H3 (purple ones), if you like them. Probably the only difference is their color.

Tinier than expected

I ordered these picks for a friend and they were way smaller than he expected. But overall, the feel was still okay.

Love it

My go to pick for the time being. While being a tad thinner than the regular Jazz III's it's still thick enough for my taste. The grip is actually very good although it seems like just a piece of slippery plastic.

A bit slippery but very precise
bainelaker 21.01.2019
I have used all manner of Jazz IIIs, and normally use the Ultex XL version - I wanted to give the Tortex a shot.

They have the same great control and definition of the "standard" Jazz IIIs, but I find are quite a bit slippery compared to the Ultex as there is no raised lettering to hold onto. The tortex coating doesn't seem to be as pronounced as on a standard Tortex 451 shape.

Overall good, but won't be my go-to plectrum.

Great alternative to the usual!
Conal M. 21.02.2016
Having used countless variants of Jazz III picks I would highly recommend people both with and without experience of these size and shape picks to try out these guys out! They are quite comfortable to hold and to play with and lend themselves to whatever you want to achieve. One flaw is that they do ware slightly more than other materials in my experience. However this may be as a result of my aggressive playing style. Something to bare in mind though!
I highly recommend these picks and I feel that you would not regret your decision!

Great picks

I like the shape of the Jazz III but not a fan 1.4mm versions, which are the most common and for they are way too thick as an allrounder.
The 1.14 in Tortex is a bit brighter when picking than the 1.4 nylon and feels better if playing chords rock style, while picking single notes is just as good as the 1.4 nylon but only brighter. Definitely more versatile.
