Good looking, simple, great picks.
Lefterman 26.02.2021
If they told me you 're stranded somewhere with your guitar, choose your picks, these would be the ones I 'd choose.
They 're my all around favorite ones, if I want to play clean or heavy distortion, they produce a good clean attacking sound I love.
And they wear out very decently.

If you have a cat and a wooden floor, prepare for fun times playing hide and seek. That is one major con!
But it makes you stretch and stuff, so it's good?

LS
Ultex—similar to Tortex
Love Style O 30.07.2023
I compared prices of packs of Ultex and Tortex plectrums on 30 July 2023.

6 Ultex .73 (item n. 151422)—€5.90 (about €0.98 each).
12 Tortex .73 (item n. 228306)—€7.50 (about €0.63 each).

The difference in price is rather trivial; so it comes down to appearance, feel, and sound.

Ultex .73 plectrums have a translucent off-white colour; I dropped one and couldn't find it.
Tortex .73 plectrums are yellow; I dropped several and had no trouble finding them! ·

Ultex and Totrex feel about the same, but I prefer the grip of TUSQ ST .68 plectrums.

I strummed a steel string acoustic guitar with the different plectrums and didn't hear any difference!

It seems a key factor is a plectrum's thickness.

j
snappy sound
jrakus 16.09.2020
I'm trying to transition from Jazz III picks looking for a more vintage sound. I tried these and the 1.0 Ultex. These ones are very snappy on the attack. You can dig deep beneath the strings. The pointy end still makes helps with precision playing. Maybe harder to hold on to because of the size compared to Jazz III.
It's a loud pick when playing unplugged.
Its good for scrapping and pick slides.

My favorite picks. They are not very elastic so if you want that, you may look elsewhere.

One of the best...
Lord Cabot 20.08.2022
It's 0.73 but the material is hard. The pick attack click is amazing and if you need some these are your boys. Especially sick for death metal riffs on low strings but an amazing shred/all rounder.
Also the fact that they are so thin means you can play forever and not get tired.
Much love, must have bought at least 50 so far.

Good quality and durable
JanDeal 16.05.2017
I suppose a lot of folk don't really think about their plectrums, but I decided to try a slightly different type to my standard grey Dunlop pick.

The Ultex Sharp Players are nice and durable feeling, certainly a stiffer feel than other 0.73mm picks I've used and the point is very pronounced. This aids my picking of single strings. There is no gripped section of these picks, so if you get quite sweaty fingers, this is something to consider.

Sharp brings difference
Thomusicman 13.10.2015
I use the Ultex Sharps to play acoustic guitar. Works well on Dread and even better on OM. Sounds good both for strumming and solos. Grips quite well too. For extra grip I apply some perforation by drilling a dozen of tiny holes on the "grip side". Durability is sort of an expected issue here, since these picks become worn/round quite soon.

Great to play with but easy to lose!
Luke M 28.03.2020
I like these picks; their pointedness allows better articulation of fast melodies I think. I like how they look and feel but they are easy to lose as they are see-through and blend into their surroundings when set down..

Long Lasting
Zift 03.05.2021
I use these on 10-46 gauge strings tuned low and they add some bite to attack. Tough and long lasting, works equally well on bass. Can't think of any cons except that they might feel a little stiff at first. I will definitely buy more..

A cut above
GBHH 13.01.2020
Found one of these somewhere somehow and really like it so I finally ordered some. Nice and smooth with just the right amount of stiffness for me. No dimples or anything to improve grip, but very nice overall.
