Great tones, but...
Kikodasneves 30.12.2019
The sound that comes out of this little box is splendid. Great jazz tones with smooth highs and tight lows, probably the best clean tone I've had and very portable and lightweight.
But there is a major downside: the amp is very noisy. The new ones don't have the fan noise problem but there is a lot of hiss coming from the amp. More than I ever had with any other amp. This means that recording with this amp at low volumes is not possible (both with a mic or with the xlr out): the hiss is just overwhelming. The phones out has this enormous amout of hiss as well, making it annoying to use.
Therefore, FORGET about recording with this amp mic'ed.
Volume wise, this little amp can gig. I used it with a 5 piece jazz band yesterday (with a semi-loud drummer) and I had it on 12 o'clock volume. This is about the maximum you can go without clipping, but this is common among most amps.
The reverb is usable as well but has modulation which may not be everyone's cup of tea.
Overall, very disappointed about the white noise issue (I've since trying another little jazz and a jazz 12 and the problem is consistent) but it's the only problem I can think of.

having tried the Jazz 12 I wasn't sure this was going to be up to that standard but I think it is better with a tighter bass and crisper top end but that may be just taste. I can't say enough good things about this amp. The mid control is the best part and has total control over that jazzy texture too the sound. I ink the reverb is quite subtle for solid state. The fan is a noisy one in practice but not for gigs and can be substituted for a quieter one so I am told on forums with no loss of function. It can also have an AER 3/8th mike stand adaptor fitted to lifer it off the ground for a better listen and spread of sound at gigs. Plenty loud enough compared to many other amps including AER 60 which I found was dry by comparison although has more functions so will probably remain for gig use as a PA. Very nice little amp and a good price and warranty at Thomann. Arrived with a UK power cable gratis which was much appreciated.

Great little jazz amp!
Francesco (UK) 13.06.2020
This is an excellent amp with everything you need to play in different circumstances (for practice at home or gigs at local venues). It’s a low-cost amp for anyone that wants to play jazz or acoustic guitar and needs clean sound with reverb control. It’s solid-state, but the sounds it can produce are just right. I use it with an archtop or semi-hollow guitar, and this amp and the tone I get is full enough for playing jazz.

I love the fact it is small and lightweight so I can take it everywhere or keep it in a small apartment. It sounds big for its size. If you need loud sound, you can go loud enough (up to 60W). You can use an XLR line out for external speakers in large venues, or use it with headphones if you want to practice at home without annoying your neighbours. Get a cover for it, it will keep it like brand new for a long time.

If you’re looking for a cost-effective, lightweight amp with an excellent clean sound, reverb control, this is the right amp. It is versatile enough to be used for practice or for gigs, You can’t go wrong. Buy it, you will not regret it.

PS. The delivery was fast despite the COVID business. Thomann sent a UK power cord for free - Thank you ever so much @ Thomann, this was a nice gesture. I was not expecting that, but I really appreciated it.

Nothing special
funkykytarista 22.11.2018
It sounds like regular SS amp, nothing special out there. I don't know why people so excited about this amp. It can be good amp for practice but you should consider that it has white noise out of speaker which is noticeable on bedroom volume. Headphones output is useless. Amp is very portable, compact and that's it.

Zero Regrets
Miguel Russo 30.09.2019
I play jazz every single night at local venues.
This is a life saver.

Pros:
*LIGHTWEIGHT - your back will thank you
*Handles pedals VERY well
*Can get LOUD if you want to
*Has line out so you can play at larget venues

Cons:
*I can't think of anything.. maybe a lack of FX Loop?

This is a battle amp, despite its size.
You will not regret it.

A good purchase
Jim Meehan 14.12.2014
This amp is a wonderful working tool. The volume output is adequate for most Jazz gigs. Otherwise the direct line out via PA works wonderfully well . The reverb is not to my liking as it is more digital than spring. Excellent value at its price point.

Really nice sound at all volume and super light for small gigs and rehearsal. Really nice not only for jazz but with overdrive too. Nico also for funk and rock.

Powerful little amp for almost any type of gig
Anonymous 12.01.2023
I use the amp regularly for gigging, including both indoor and outdoor gigs. With or without a (jazz) band behind me, it has proved itself surpsingly capable of handling most situations, both in volume and quality of tone. However, it's not the best choice if loudness is imperative (as in: without a PA system). The tone is consistent and wonderfully warm up to a certain point, some of which gets lost turned all the way up. The reverb is specific, certainly useful, though not my first choice. As good as it is for gigging, it's far from optimal for recording because of the fan noise. Still, the DV Mark Little Jazz may be one of the best amps in the price range, as I find its total value far exceeds its price.

Best jazz amp below 500$
Vadim N. 09.10.2021
I've had lots of amps, and for a long time been in search for a small and good sounding amplifier for jazz. I've tried tube Traynor, Peavey Classic 30, Fender Blues Jr., and Rolands, but when I heard this DV, I realized that my quest was over! Even my standard Telecaster now sounds like a jazz guitar, let alone Ibanez AS200 and my Tokai Mahogany Tele. The only little thing that annoys me is quirky blue light when it's on.
