First clutch that does not move on the rod nor loosen up to drop the hat off.Fantastic piece.
PROS- great grip on the rod, easy felt "click" adjustment, does not move
CONS-I think it's worth running a little grease up the threads of the clutch, the dried out pretty fast and didn't function smoothly.A little grease and good as new

Great upgrade from standard DW clutch
Pavol D 21.03.2019
I use two DW hi-hat stands, one for regular hi-hat and one for auxiliary closed mini hi-hat. I decided to give this a try as an upgrade to the auxiliary mini hi hat, which I always play as a closed hi-hat. This is a great option to keep your hi-hat cymbals very tight and deliver short focused sound. A standard screw DW clutch looses the grip after a while delivering slightly loosen sound. Now I'm considering to upgrade my regular hi-hat too.

Typical DW quality

This does what it says on the tin, and has the usual excellent DW build quality. I'm missing the security of the usual locking nut, but not a problem so far.
