Good for drums.
Boris I. 05.08.2020
Used for playing drums

pros:
- good frequency response / doesn't mute frequencies like common earplugs do.
- perfect level of sound attenuation ; it may not be enough for heavy hitters however.
- seems to be well built, the plugs are pretty comfortable but time will tell how long they'll fare.

cons:
- the price. I get that you pay for R&D, dealer margins, etc., but ~20EUR seems a bit expensive. But I'd buy those again - my hearing is way more expensive :)

Too good?!
David B. 817 09.02.2016
I bought these as I have a tendency to stand too close to the PA/Speakers at gigs, and I've also started playing in a band recently and didn't want to start having problems with my hearing - I'm not getting any younger!. I've found that these are very good in blocking both high and low end frequencies, which I guess is what they're supposed to do. But for me personally, they are blocking far too much of the sound, to the point now where I've stopped wearing them at gigs and practices. For an example, I recently put on a gig and stood in the middle of the (small) venue and listened to one of the bands soundcheck. I had to take the plugs out in order to hear properly and left them out for the rest of the gig. I also used them for the first time last week at a practice, but took them out after one song as even though I was standing within a few feet of my amp I couldn't hear anything unless I boosted the volume and gain to a ridiculous level. I found them reasonably comfortable but a little sore after a while, I bought medium but small might have been better for me. I don't know how to measure my ears!

Overall, I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend them, other than if you want something to almost completely block out the music. If I can afford it, I'll try something higher up the price range.

Amazing!

These ear plugs are excellent, well built hearing protection and are most likely the best out there in this price range.
The only small improvement I would suggest is the build of the case included, it feels slightly flimsy and the shutting latch needs some attention, this is a very petty issue though and I am sure many will not find this a problem.

Okay for concerts
HenrikV 18.11.2015
I'm a sound engineer so naturally I need to protect my hearing. I chose these earplugs because I have used Hearsafe ones before and they look like exactly the same, but Elacin's are lower in price.
What I was looking for was maximum reduction and smooth frequency response at low price. Of course the response is nowhere smooth, but looked better on paper than other brands.
My main use for these earplugs is visiting loud concerts. I have tried working with them, but they change the response too much to be able to make decisions.
Wearing comfort is okay, after about 2 hours in ears they start getting a bit uncomfortable.
Comes with a little box and string to hang the plugs on your neck.

Fits the role
Anonymous 21.04.2016
I'm really satisfied with the product, indeed it really put the sound in a safe level of volume.
However there is a few details that bothers me:

1- The case it is in a square shape so the ear plugs get the square shape and take a couple of minutes until get in the normal shape again.

2- It is tricky to store it in the case with the chord.

This little details doesn't make it less functional but could bring the product to another level of quality.

Decent hearing protection
Ricky D 26.10.2018
The ones I received are made of a rather soft, gummy rubber, making them slightly difficult to get into my ears. Nothing wrong with the protection aspect though. Although, like all earplugs in this price range, high frequencies get reduced more than low end. Good to keep in mind if you're dialing in an amp with these in. Have to resist the urge to boost treble to regain that clarity that the plugs take away.

Be careful when ordering sizes. Used for rehearsals. Sound quality is pretty good but ears do get tired from wearing them. Just a little bit uncomfortable. Great quality . Little case is too small for them but it's forgivable . Nice alternative to custom earphones I guess
